Streaks - How They Work, Editing & Troubleshooting

Understand how client streaks are calculated in CoachRx, how to edit or reset a client's streak, and how to troubleshoot common streak issues your clients may report.

Updated this week

Streaks are a motivational tool in CoachRx that track consecutive days a client completes their assigned workouts or check-ins. This article explains how streaks work, how you as a coach can edit them, and how to troubleshoot common issues clients report.

How Streaks Work

A streak represents the number of consecutive days a client has completed their assigned activity in the CoachRx app. Streaks are visible to both the coach (on the client's profile in the web dashboard) and the client (in their mobile app).

Streaks increment each day the client completes their assigned workout or check-in. If a client misses a day, the streak resets to zero.

What Resets a Streak

A streak resets when a client does not complete their assigned activity for the day. Common reasons a streak resets include:

  • The client did not log their workout for the day

  • The client completed the workout but did not mark it as complete in the app

  • A rest day was scheduled but the streak logic expected activity (see troubleshooting below)

How to Edit a Client's Streak

If a client's streak was reset incorrectly (for example, due to an app issue or a rest day configuration), you can manually edit it. Here is how:

  1. Navigate to the client's calendar in your CoachRx dashboard

  2. Expand the left sidebar

  3. Find the Streak section

  4. Click the pencil icon next to the streak count

  5. Enter the corrected streak number

  6. Save the change

The updated streak will be reflected in the client's mobile app.

Troubleshooting Common Streak Issues

Client says their streak reset unexpectedly

Check the client's calendar to see if they had a workout assigned for the day the streak reset. If they did and the workout shows as incomplete, the client likely did not mark it as done in the app. You can manually restore the streak using the steps above.

Streak did not update after the client completed a workout

This can happen if the client completed the workout but the app did not sync properly. Ask the client to:

  1. Make sure they are connected to the internet

  2. Pull down to refresh in the CoachRx app

  3. Close and reopen the app

If the streak still does not update, you can manually edit it from the coach dashboard.

Rest days and streaks

If a client has a rest day (no workout assigned), check how the streak behaves for that specific day. If the streak reset on a rest day and the client did not have anything to complete, you can manually adjust the streak to reflect the correct count.

Best Practices for Using Streaks

  • Let clients know how streaks work so they understand the importance of marking workouts as complete in the app

  • If a client reports a streak issue, check their calendar first to understand what happened before making an edit

  • Use streaks as a positive motivational tool - acknowledge milestones and encourage consistency
