Loom Video Embed Limits in CoachRx

Understand Loom file size, length, and embed limits when adding Loom videos to CoachRx programs, exercises, articles, or client messages, and what to do if your Loom video will not embed.

Loom is the easiest way to record yourself once and embed the video anywhere in CoachRx - in an exercise demo, a program note, a client message, or a help center article. This article covers the practical limits to know before you record, and what to do if a Loom video will not embed.

How Loom embeds work in CoachRx

CoachRx accepts Loom videos through the Loom share URL (the link that ends with loom.com/share/[id]). Once you paste the share URL, CoachRx pulls the Loom thumbnail and embeds the player. Clients tap the thumbnail to open the full Loom video. CoachRx does not host the video itself - Loom does. That means the limits below are set by your Loom plan, not by CoachRx.

Loom plan limits to be aware of

Plan

Video Length Limit

Video Count

Loom Starter (free)

5 minutes per video

25 videos total

Loom Business

Unlimited length

Unlimited videos

Loom Enterprise

Unlimited length

Unlimited videos + SSO

If you are on Loom's free Starter plan and your videos cut off at 5 minutes or are missing from your library, upgrade Loom or trim the video to fit. CoachRx does not have a separate Loom subscription on your behalf - the limits apply to your personal Loom account.

Where you can embed Loom in CoachRx

  • Exercise descriptions and demos

  • Program-level notes

  • Client messages and RX delivery

  • Coach profile bio

  • Intake form questions and onboarding flows

When a Loom video will not embed

If you paste a Loom URL and the player does not appear, check:

  1. The URL format. Use the Share - Copy Link URL from Loom, not the in-page browser URL.

  2. Loom privacy settings. The video must be set to "Anyone with the link" or "Workspace" - private videos will not render for clients.

  3. The video has finished processing. New Loom recordings can take up to a few minutes to be embeddable.

  4. Browser cache. If a video previously worked and suddenly does not, refresh the page or sign out and back in.

Better alternatives for long-form video

If you are running into the 5-minute limit and do not want to upgrade Loom, consider:

  • Coach Video Upload - upload your own MP4 directly to CoachRx with a 500 MB limit per video

  • YouTube Unlisted - works for embedding longer educational content

  • Vimeo - paid tier supports custom branding and longer videos

ℹ️

CoachRx never modifies your Loom videos. If a video plays in Loom but not in CoachRx, the issue is almost always Loom privacy settings or the URL format.
