Summary
The Cost Trend Analysis chart in ForeSite gives you insights into the estimate associated with each milestone and the forecasted estimates of future milestones. Depending on the data you uploaded, you can decide the classification to use to display estimates. You can pick an entire division, or focus on particular ones.
The next filter allows you to show the estimates and budget for the entire project or focus on certain divisions. The same filter is available on the bottom of the chart where you can select the components you want to include in the chart.
The last dropdown allows you to show the costs per component or per division.
In the View Settings, you can control what appears on the chart, such as the percentage change in the forecasted estimate, the risk implications, the range of outcome, and revised estimates.

Zoom on the x-axis | Use the mouse wheel or two fingers on the trackpad |
Zoom on the y-axis | Hit Alt on the keyboard (or Option on Mac) and use the mouse wheel or two fingers on the trackpad. |
Pan on the chart | Hit Shift on the Keyboard, Left click on a mouse or a trackpad and drag. |
Zoom in Area | Left click on a mouse or a trackpad and drag. |
