👉 Just a heads-up: Deblock has no control over this process. We only get a notification from your card issuer bank saying if the top-up was approved or declined.
Top-ups can fail for a few reasons:
❌ 3DS check failed
3DS is like a quick ID check from your bank. If it fails, the transaction won't go through.
Even if everything looks fine on your side, there are a few reasons 3DS might fail:
Slow internet or network issues
You didn’t approve in time
Bank didn’t initiate 3DS properly, especially when you're abroad
Temporary issues with your bank’s 3DS server
💡 Tip: Google Pay or Apple Pay don’t use 3DS, so try those instead if you’re having issues.
❌ Card issuer declined it
Your bank might block the transaction due to:
Not enough funds
Internal limits
Security settings or other bank rules
In this case, it’s best to contact your bank directly and ask them to authorize future transactions to Deblock.
What if I’ve had many failed top-up attempts?
Our security system will temporarily block card top-ups (including Apple/Google Pay) for 7 days if too many top-ups fail.
Don’t worry you can still add funds using a bank transfer during this time. After the 7 days, you’ll be able to try again.
Are there alternatives to card top-ups?
Yes! You can always add money using a bank transfer to your personal IBAN (you’ll find it in the app).
Deblock doesn’t charge any fees to receive transfers, and there are no monthly limits. 🏦💶
