Subscribers may cancel their subscription at any time during their externship. Below is an overview of how the process works and what to expect once cancellation is initiated.

All Extern subscriptions operate on 30-day, 4-month or 1-year pay periods, with the exception of the free 7-day trial when they sign up. When a subscriber cancels, they retain full access to the student portal until the end of the current pay period. After that period concludes, the subscription will automatically end, and access to the portal will be removed.

If you cancel your subscription within 48 hours of a new pay period starting, you’re eligible for a full refund of that charge, no questions asked. If you cancel more than 48 hours after the pay period started, that charge can’t be refunded, and you keep access until the end of the pay period.
