Voter information may be viewed using the Find a Voter tool. Select the Find a Voter link on the site's menu bar, or go to Tools > Find a Voter from the main site.

Enter the voter's name, address, and other attributes in the search fields to return a list of voters in the Search Results section. Details for individual voter records can then be viewed and possibly edited in a separate browser tab.

New indexed-search fields (added March 2022)

  • Voter Name: use voter's full or partial first and last name in one search field

  • Address: use the voter's full or partial Primary (registered) or Secondary (mailing) Address, including apartment or unit numbers.

  • Birthday: use the voter's birth month and birth day for list of matching voters

For best results, searches should only use one or two field values to filter records. When searching for a specific voter, it is best to start with searching for the voter's first and last name in the Voter Name field.  Search results may be filtered to display records with an Exact Match or Closest Match; the number of records displayed per page may also be changed (default is 25 records).

Click on the magnifying glass icon for any record in the Search Results section to view the voter's detailed information. Use the links in the right-hand sidebar to jump to specific voter details including Vote History and assigned voter tags.

Editing Voter Records

Records may be edited by users with appropriate permissions by selecting the Edit Fields button. Field values which may be changed will appear in edit boxes or drop-down menus; any saved changes will be retained in the database.

Moved/Deceased Flags

Check the "Has Moved" box to indicate that the voter has moved from the listed Primary Address (the registered address in the voter record). Only the Secondary Address (mailing address) may be edited by users, but the Secondary Address value may be overwritten through new voter record updates. The "Has Moved" flag value will be retained for matching voters, and the flag may be used to filter voters for Basic/Advanced Counts.

Check the "Is Deceased" box to indicate the voter has passed away. Records for deceased voters may not be immediately removed from the registered voter file, and the Deceased flag will be retained for matching voters until the record is purged. Use the "Is Deceased" filter in Basic/Advanced Counts to exclude deceased voters from your count results.

Phone Changes (updated June 2021)

User changes for phone numbers are retained as separate phone types for "User Change: Cell Phone" and "User Change: Home Phone". The Cellular Phone and Home Phone values originally provided in the voter file are not editable, and user changes for phone numbers will be brought forward for matching voters in new voter file updates.

Do Not Call (added March 2022)

Voters who are registered in the FTC National Do Not Call Registry are listed as "Do Not Call" in the voter details page. Political calls are allowed for phone numbers in the Do Not Call Registry. Phone numbers flagged as Do Not Call (DNC) may be filtered using the Basic Counts or Advanced Counts data tools to remove voter records in contact lists.
