View state and districtwide voter information and demographics

The Geography Report tool displays voter record statistics for statewide and selected districts. Go to Tools > Geography Report, select the district or jurisdiction type, and click the Submit button to view report results. Select the Export button to create a CSV (comma-separated values) file that can be viewed in spreadsheet, database, or text reader applications.

Geography selections

  • State: view statewide results

  • County: select the County Name

  • Congressional District (CD): select the U.S. Representative District

  • State Senate District (SD): select the Upper House District

  • State House District (LD): select the Lower House District

  • City: select the registered city name

  • Precinct by County: follow the prompts to select a Precinct by County Name

Available selections may be limited to your assigned user geography. For example, a user assigned to Congressional District 1 will be able to view the Counties, SD, LD, City, and Precincts within the assigned district boundaries.

Report Categories

Modeled Party: party scores are calculated by a voter's partisan primary ballots cast, recent voter modeling scores, and other voter identification programs.

Voter Frequency: displays the Overall Voter Frequency score for a voter's propensity to vote by using ballots cast in the most recent General and Primary Elections, with a 4 of 4 score indicating the voter cast a ballot in all four elections considered.

Telephone Reliability Code (TRC): phone numbers with the highest TRC scores most likely match the individual voter or household.

Modeled Ethnicity: applies a formula that takes into account many data points to predict a voter's ethnicity category.

Phone Types: counts for Landline (Home Phone) and Cell (Mobile Phone) phone types.

Gender: values may be provided from the voter file or alternative data sources.

Age: calculated by birth date, which may be provided from the voter file or alternative data sources.

  • Official Party for states that register voters by political party.

  • Observed Party for non-party registration states that use the State Party's voter identification scores.

  • Modeled Party for non-party registration states that do not apply different voter identification values.

Vote History: displays ballots cast counts for the most recent elections.

Using the Geography Report

You can apply the voter information and demographic results for the selected political geography to inform decisions for voter contact projects and setting up selection criteria in the Basic Counts and Advanced Counts tools. Select the Export option to download report results into a spreadsheet. Results for each report category is listed in separate rows, which can be formatted using a spreadsheet or database application.
