Troubleshooting help and tips related to the Toast integration

Why can't I find meez in the Toast app marketplace?

The reason you do not see meez in the Toast app marketplace is because our integration is powered by our partner PXY Data. In the Toast marketplace, instead of searching for meez, search and enable the PXY Data integration. That will enable the integration with meez. Check out the Enable the Toast integration article for more details.

Where in meez do I go to see my Toast sales data?

Once the Toast integration is enabled, you will be able to access the POS reporting from the analytics dashboard. It will display under the tab: Menu/POS Reporting. The POS reporting will look similar to the below:

I enabled the Toast integration but I still do not see my sales data in meez, what do I do?

First, make sure you followed all the steps outlined in our Enable the Toast integration article:

  • You enabled the PXY Data integration in Toast

  • You sent your customer success manager (or our support team) an email listing which locations we should pull sales data for

If you completed both of the above steps, but did so in the last 2-3 days - it is possible that the integration is not ready yet. It takes about 2-3 business days for us to enable the integration and for your sales data to fully sync. Wait another day or two and check again.

If it has been longer then 3 business days since you enabled the integration - reach out to support@getmeez.com or your customer success manager for more help.

When I filter by "Menu Name" I do not see all the menu items I expect, how do I fix that?

When the Toast integration is enabled, we use the Item ID to determine which meez menu item each Toast item should match to. In Toast, the Item ID is the PLU. In meez, the Item ID is called Menu item ID number, and it can be set from your menu - at the bottom of the menu item details view:

If there is no match for a certain item by looking at the Item ID, we will try to find a match by looking at the Item Name (matching the meez Menu Item Name to the Toast Item Name).

If there is still no match, we consider that item as Unmapped. When you filter by "Menu Name" on the analytics dashboard, unmapped items are excluded (as we could not find a match for them in meez). That is why some menu items are missing.

You can easily fix this by going to the menu and setting the Menu item ID number of the missing menu item to equal the corresponding Toast PLU. Note that it could take a few mins for the analytics dashboard to refresh after you make the changes.

To make it easier to handle unmapped items, we added a Mapped to Meez Menu Item filter to the analytics dashboard:

You can use this filter to see only unmapped items (i.e: all the Toast items that could not be matched to any meez menu item). We also added the Toast PLU for each item to the table for reference. Copy the Toast PLU from the table and paste it to the corresponding menu item's Menu item ID number to fix the mapping issue.
