Exporting your Analytics data

Download the figures of any Analytics page as a CSV file, and understand what each file contains

You can download the figures of your Analytics pages as a CSV file, which opens in Excel, Google Sheets or Numbers. This is useful to build your own reports, share results with your team, or keep a record of your performance.

Export is available on these Analytics pages: WhatsApp, RCS, SMS, Campaigns, Automations, Opt-in & Opt-out and AI. Each page gives you its own file, with its own columns (see What each file contains below).

How to export

  1. Go to Analytics and open the page you want to export.

  2. Click the Export button at the top of the page.

  3. Choose the Time range. It is pre-filled with the period you are viewing on the page. You can pick: Today, Week to date, Last 7 days, Month to date, Last 30 days, Last 3 months, Last 6 months, Year to date, All time, or Custom to choose a start and end date.

  4. Click Export.

What happens next

  • If the file is ready within a few seconds, it downloads directly to your computer.

  • If it takes longer, the window closes and the window closes and we email you a link to your file when it’s ready. You can keep using WAX in the meantime.

The email is titled "Your [page] analytics export is ready". Click Download my file in it to get your file.

💡 Good to know

  • Only the time range is applied to the file. Other selectors on the page (such as the channel filter or the attribution selector) don't change the file's content. See the details for each page below.

  • No comparison with the previous period. The file only covers the period you chose.

  • Custom dates: the start date cannot be in the future, and the end date must be on or after the start date. A period that starts before your WAX account was created starts on its creation date.

  • One export at a time per page. If you click Export again on the same page while a file is still being prepared, you will receive the one already in progress. Wait for it to arrive before exporting another period of that page.

  • An export can't be cancelled once you have clicked Export.

  • The download link is valid for 30 days. After that, the file is deleted: export the same period again to get a new one.

  • 🔒The link is personal. Only the person who requested the export can download it, after logging in to WAX. To share the data, share the downloaded file.

  • File name: each file is named after the page, your organization and the period, for example WAX_WhatsApp_Analytics_MyBrand_2026-09-01_2026-09-30.csv, so several exports are easy to tell apart.

Reading the file

  • Dates are written as year-month-day (2026-09-30).

  • Amounts (revenue, cost) are in your organization's display currency, which is named in the column header, with two decimals.

  • Empty figures show as 0.

  • Attribution: revenue and conversions depend on how a sale is attributed to a message. The column header always says which attribution it uses (for example Revenue (EUR, attribution by read)). If your account offers several attribution methods, the file includes a column for each one (read, interacted, clicked), whichever one you selected on the page.

  • Rates and ROI per day are not included (except for Campaigns, which have one row per campaign). A daily rate can't be added up over several days, but you can recalculate it over any period from the revenue and cost columns.

What each file contains

WhatsApp

One row per day of the period.

  • Date

  • Revenue (one column per attribution method available on your account)

  • Billed messages and Cost

  • New opt-ins

  • Message categories: Marketing, Utility, Authentication, Service

  • Engagement: Accepted, Delivered, Read, Interacted, Converted

RCS

One row per day of the period. Same structure as WhatsApp, with these differences:

  • Message categories: Basic, Single, Conversation

  • Engagement: Accepted, Delivered, Interacted, Converted. There is no Read column, as RCS reads are not reported.

  • For the same reason, the default attribution is called attribution by delivery instead of attribution by read.

SMS

One row per day of the period. Same structure as WhatsApp, with these differences:

  • No message categories, as SMS has only one type of message.

  • No New opt-ins column, as SMS has no consent of its own. RCS and SMS opt-ins are in the Opt-in & Opt-out export.

  • Engagement: Accepted, Delivered, Clicked (clicks on tracked links), Converted.

  • The default attribution is called attribution by delivery, as SMS reads are not reported.

Campaigns

One row per campaign: the completed campaigns scheduled within the period, as listed on the page. All channels are included and added together, whatever channels you selected on the page.

  • Campaign name

  • Scheduled date (in the time zone the campaign was scheduled in)

  • Channels used

  • Revenue, Cost and ROI

  • Delivered, Read (WhatsApp), Interacted, Converted

  • Opt-outs

Note: the Read column only counts WhatsApp messages, as only WhatsApp reports reads.

Automations

One row per automation and per day on which it has activity. The automations are the same as on the page, active or not. All channels are included and added together, whatever channels you selected on the page. Adding up an automation's rows gives you its line on the page.

  • Date

  • Automation name

  • Channels used over the whole period

  • Revenue and Cost

  • Delivered, Read (WhatsApp), Interacted, Converted

  • Opt-ins and Opt-outs

Note: there is no ROI column, as a daily ROI can't be added up. Calculate it from the Revenue and Cost columns.

Opt-in & Opt-out

One row per source and per day on which that source brought an opt-in or an opt-out.

  • Date

  • Source type: Campaign, Automation, or Other (opt-ins and opt-outs not linked to a campaign or an automation)

  • Source name

  • WhatsApp opt-ins and WhatsApp opt-outs

  • RCS/SMS opt-ins: a single column, because one consent covers both RCS and SMS

  • RCS opt-outs and SMS opt-outs: one column each

All columns are always present, even for a channel you don't use (they show 0).

AI

One row per day of the period, for your AI agent. All channels are included and added together, whatever channels you selected on the page.

  • Date

  • Conversations handled by the AI agent

  • Escalations (handed over to a human): every handover to your team, counted once per contact and per day

  • Conversions and Revenue (attribution by read)

  • Cost

  • Trial: Yes for the days of your AI agent trial, whose cost was not charged

Note: the resolution rate and ROI shown on the page are not included, as they are rates. You can recalculate them over any period from the file.

⚠️ If an export fails

If the file can't be generated, you will receive an email titled "Your [page] analytics export could not be completed". Click Retry the export in it to try again. If the problem persists, reply to that email and our team will look into it.
