Tobe Builder Pro and Tobe Builder Ultimate v2.5.8 includes several important bug fixes and introduces two minor feature enhancements, detailed below. This release also marks the final stable build for 2025.
API Key Rotation and Deprecation of Previous Builds
This release introduces a new API key. As part of our ongoing security and platform maintenance efforts, all previous builds will be deprecated in October 2025. From that point forward, only version 2.5.8 and above will remain functional.
We will actively monitor the transition to ensure all users migrate to the latest version. Users still operating on earlier builds will be contacted directly prior to the decommissioning of legacy APIs. Once the older APIs are retired, only builds 2.5.8 and newer will be supported.
Minor Feature Enhancements:
Improved Path and Mount Selection
We updated the path mount and resource mount point selection system to use the object selector so that you can search for objects and mount points by name within the object inspector.
Drag and Drop File Importer
Allow users to multi select and drag and drop files from windows explorer to trigger a local file upload.
Minor Bugs addressed in 2.5.8:
Removed right and left click from keyframe creation in the sequence menu. Only left click creates keyframes now.
Fixed bug in creation of triplanar materials
Fixed bug in AR publish with resources without keyframes.
Fixed crash when modifying CVS settings on manual links with a large number of elements.
Fixed bug with project ownership changing when a user upgraded the project to the latest data model.
Fixed issue with default model rotation on non-geolocated models
Fixed issue with Tobe Builder Ultimate not showing mount point labels during selection.
Fixed label text clipping bug where the inspector labels are hidden if the inspector window is very narrow on startup.
Fixed an issue where the geolocate action does not update the transform inspector values correctly.
Fixed an issue with OneDrive sync'd folders not correctly showing write permissions to the cache and export folders.
Improved model loading performance for projects with hundreds of models loading in parallel.
