An overview of disabling social features in a class activation

Social features are enabled by default, but as a manage user you can choose to make a class activation free from social features and discussion.

Disabling social features means that learners have a learning experience that is independent of discussion with other learners. ย  ย 

The following features are disabled:

Learners can still save study notes, complete tasks, and facilitators can mark or give feedback on tasks.

Note: Disabling social features for an existing class activation hides all existing discussions.

How to disable social features in a class activation

To disable social features:

  1. Find the class activation you want to disable the social features in (or create a new class activation).

  2. Under Details, toggle Social features to No.
    โ€‹

    Social features? toggle under Details when editing a class activation.

  3. Scroll to the bottom of the page to Update (if an existing activation) or Activate (if a new activation).
