Custom fields

Accessible via the "Administration" menu, the "Custom Fields" tab allows you to create additional fields on your client records, employee records, or job sites.

The principle is simple:

Step 1: Choose the desired sub-tab for creating your field (Job Sites, Employees, Subcontractors, Equipment, Clients) then click on the

.

Step 2: Enter the field label and determine the type from the proposed list.

  • Short text

  • Long text

  • Number

Entry of a whole number with incrementation using the right arrow.

  • Date

Date entry with the option of a calendar on the right side of the field.

  • Date and time

Entry of a date and time with the option of a calendar on the right side.

  • Checkbox

Simple checkbox to enable.

  • Dropdown list

Only one item can be selected.

  • Multiple choice list

Multiple items can be selected.

  • URL

Link pointing to a website.

  • Email

Email address

Step 3: Go to the "Advanced" tab to choose the display options

Depending on the selected field type, the advanced options may vary.

  • Required field: a client record cannot be validated as long as the field is empty.

  • Show in tables and lists allows the custom field(s) to be visible in the "Table" tab of the "Job Site" menu ⬇️

  • Include in global search allows you to enter the job site number in the search bar and find the job site this way.

Once your field is correctly configured, you can confirm its creation.

It will then appear in your configuration space:

You will find shortcut buttons for:

: make visible in lists and tables

: Included in global search

: Add filter in lists and tables (only for list fields and checkboxes)

: Edit field

: Delete field (not possible if in use)

: Deactivate field

Adding custom fields causes a new tab named "Other" to appear on the various records:
