Learn more about LinkedIn supported media types & accounts, as well as features available.

Updated over a month ago

Take a look at our quick video tutorial on how to connect your LinkedIn account to Loomly:

In this article, we'll also review:

1. How to connect your LinkedIn account

On LinkedIn, all Pages are managed through the Profiles that have Super Admins & Content Admin permissions. So in order to connect your LinkedIn page you'll need to:

Connect the LinkedIn profile you use to manage the Page that you want to connect.

• Then select that Page to connect it to Loomly.

📝 Note: Loomly was created on a calendar basis. In each calendar, you can connect one account per social media platform. So if you need to connect two LinkedIn pages, for example, you will currently have to create two calendars.

You can also easily create a post that will be cloned on multiple calendars. You will be able to access all posts from All Calendars.

    • Note: First comments cannot be used with PDF Carousels or Polls

  1. LinkedIn PDF Carousels

LinkedIn PDF carousels can be published directly using Loomly. There is a maximum limit of 300 pages, but we recommend less than 12 pages to keep your viewer’s attention.

  • Upload a PDF document using the document icon or add PDFs from the Library, Google Drive, or a URL.

  • You can also import Canva designs as PDFs into the Library before adding them in Post Builder.

  • Select Next, then head to the Fine-Tune Content step. Select the gear icon next to your PDF to rename your document.

2. LinkedIn polls

LinkedIn polls can be published directly from Loomly from the Fine-Tine Content step.

  • Go to Fine-Tune Content step for LinkedIn

  • Click + Add Poll

  • Add a Poll Question

  • Add 2 to 4 options for poll responses

  • (Optional) Change the poll duration

📝 Note: Media attachments, link previews, audience targeting, and post sponsoring are not supported for polls

B. LinkedIn interactions

From our Interactions Management, you can respond to LinkedIn comments for profiles & company pages, and also mentions for company pages.

This feature is available from the toolbar of each calendar:

C. LinkedIn analytics

The Analytics dashboard offers insight into your posts' performance. To access Analytics, click on the calendar and go to the Analytics icon:

Loomly Analytics will be your best ally in this quest, empowering you to:

  1. Get a report of Loom.ly URL click counts, sources & locations.

  2. Get into details with Post Metrics, which includes all the analytics you need to evaluate your posts.

  3. Filter and compare performance by date ranges to evaluate growth and get a better understanding of your success!

  4. Last but not least, export all your analytics, as a PDF or CSV and share them offline with your team!

Here are the metrics available for your LinkedIn pages:

  • Impressions: The number of times your updates were shown to LinkedIn members.

  • Views: The aggregated number of views on your account and updates.

  • Engagement Rate: The number of interactions, clicks, and followers acquired divided by the number of impressions.

  • Clicks: The number of clicks on your content, company name, or your logo

📝 Note: Analytics are not available for LinkedIn profiles.

D. LinkedIn audience targeting

Loomly’s organic audience targeting features on LinkedIn allows you to accomplish just this.

Organic audience targeting is ideal for brands with a large community or those who need to target a specific subset of their audience. Learn more about it here.

You can access LinkedIn Audience Targeting in the Fine-Tune Content step in Post Builder with the green Target Audience and Promote button below the Attachments section.

This will limit who will see your post based on the following attributes:

  • Industries

  • Seniorities

  • Functions

  • Company size

  • Languages

  • Locations

📝 Note: The targeted segment must have at least 300 followers; otherwise, your post will fail.

E. LinkedIn post sponsoring

You can boost posts with LinkedIn ads directly from Loomly! Learn more about it here.
