Master Your Move FAQs

Updated over a week ago

What is the Master Your Move Challenge?

A 6-week summer challenge focused on mastering foundational movements like push-ups, planks, pull-ups, and mile pace. Each week introduces a new skill and includes quick, effective 8-minute daily sessions that layer easily onto any Moves program.

When does the challenge start?

The challenges will be live in your Moves App on June 9, 2025.

Do I have to start on June 9th?

No. While the challenge launches June 9th, it can be started any time after it's live from your Programs tab. The challenges will be available through the summer, ending September 1, 2025.

Who is this challenge for?

Anyone! Whether you’re a beginner working toward your first push-up or an experienced lifter wanting to refine technique, the challenge builds skill, strength, and confidence with smart, joint-friendly progressions.

Where do I find the challenge in the app?

Head to your Programs tab and look for the collection called “Master Your Move.” Each of the 4 challenges will be in that collection ready for you to get started!

Do I need to follow a separate program, or can I stack this with another one I’m doing?

You can layer it on top of any Moves program you’re already doing! Each session is only 8 minutes and was built to complement—not replace—your main workout program.

If my main program is 5 days per week, when do I schedule my MYM sessions?

Master Your Move sessions are designed to fit flexibly into your week. Each challenge follows a Monday-Wednesday-Friday cadence, but you can shift the days to suit your training schedule.

You’ve got options:

  • Stack it with your regular workout as a warm-up or finisher

  • Focus on it first if the skill is your priority that day

  • Use it solo on busy days—it can stand alone as a quick, effective session

Session 2 is intentionally lower intensity and marked “Optional” in the app, so feel free to skip it if you need more recovery. Listen to your body, adjust as needed, and make it work with your routine—these sessions were built to help you progress, not pile on.

Can I do more than one challenge at a time?

Each of the 4 Master Your Move challenges was intentionally designed to be done one at a time to help you stay focused, build habits, and avoid burnout. We recommend picking the one that best aligns with your current goals and completing it fully before moving on to another. You’ll get more out of the experience when you give each challenge your full attention!

Do I need equipment?

Most sessions are bodyweight-based, but a resistance band or light dumbbells may be used in some progressions. Alternatives are always offered if equipment isn’t available.

Is this safe for pregnancy or postpartum?

Master Your Move challenges weren’t specifically designed for pregnancy or postpartum, so they may not be appropriate for everyone in those seasons. That said, depending on the individual, some sessions may still be supportive with appropriate modifications.

If you're currently pregnant or postpartum, we recommend checking in with your healthcare provider and listening to your body.

Is the Master Your Move Challenge included in my subscription, or do I need to pay extra?

It’s fully included in your Moves App subscription—no additional purchase required. Just head to your Programs tab and you’ll find it ready to go when the challenge launches!

How long will the challenge be available in the app?

The Master Your Move Challenge will remain available in the app through Labor Day (September 1, 2025). So even if you can’t start on launch day, you’ll have the full summer to jump in and complete it on your own timeline.

I don’t see the challenge in my app—what do I do?
