How to Restart or Reschedule a Workout Program

Need to shift your program's start date? Whether you're taking a rest day, starting a new phase, or just want to kick off today, you can reset your schedule in a few taps.

How to Do It

  1. End your current program

    • Go to the Programs tab

    • Select the program you're on

    • Tap End to close out the current run

  2. Restart it

    • From the same program page, tap Follow to start it again

  3. Set your new start date

    • Choose any date — today or a future day

    • Optionally, pick which workout you want to start with

Common Scenarios

  • Need a rest day? End the program, then restart it with tomorrow's date (or whenever you're ready).

  • Starting a new phase? Follow the same steps to set a fresh start date.

  • Want to start today? Restart the program and select today's date.

  • Fallen off track? If moving or skipping workouts has thrown off your week (say, you're actually on Week 4 but the app has bumped you to Week 5), end the program and restart it — this time choosing the week you left off on instead of Day 1. That resets the schedule so everything lines up correctly going forward.

FAQs

Can I change my start date without ending the program?

Not currently — you'll need to end the program first, then restart it with your new date.

Will I lose my progress if I restart?

No. Ending a program resets its schedule, but your workout history and overall progress stay intact.

Can I pick any start date?

Yes — any day works, including today or a future date.

Why did my program skip ahead or fall behind?

Most programs follow a set weekly schedule, so moving or missing workouts can throw off the weeks that follow. If your program gets out of sync, ending and restarting it with your actual current week resets things so your schedule stays accurate.
