How Do I Track Weights and Reps?

Tracking your reps and weights in the Moves App is simple and helps you monitor your progress over time.

Logging Your Sets

  • For each set, enter the number of reps you performed and the weight you used.

  • Most exercises will have a prescribed number of reps – in this case, just enter the weight you used.

  • The weight field will begin at 0 each workout — check your Exercise History to see what you used previously, then decide whether to use the same weights, go lower, or push heavier depending on how you’re feeling.

⚠️ Important: Be sure to tap the checkmark ☑️ after each exercise (or use Complete All) — if you don’t, your weights won’t save to your Exercise History.

  • Sometimes a set is “to failure”. In this case, record the number of reps you completed before you could not perform another rep with proper form.

How to Know an Exercise is “To Failure”

  • Exercises set to 0 reps in the app indicate a to failure set.

  • Simply log how many reps you completed during that set.

💡 Pro Tip: You know you’ve reached “failure” when you can’t complete another rep with proper form. It’s not about exhaustion—it’s about maintaining quality reps safely.

Viewing Past Reps and Weights

  • To see your past performance, tap the three dots next to an exercise and select Exercise History.

  • This works in both List View and Guided View, and updates every time you complete a workout.

  • You can also add personal notes in your Exercise History — just remember to tap the blue checkmark ☑️ to save your note.

Keeping track of your weights and reps allows you to see improvements over time, adjust your workouts, and celebrate your progress! By leveraging the Exercise History feature, you can gain detailed insights into your performance, enabling more precise adjustments and goal setting for future workouts.
