How can I share my promo codes for my event?
Updated over a week ago

Once you have created your promo codes, you will be able to share them with individuals you would like to invite to your event.

Step 1: Create a group of individuals you'd like to share the promo code with.

If you want to provide a promo code to a specific group, you should first create a filter or group in your donor management system containing who you want to provide that promo code to.

This will make it much easier to share the promo code through several of Donor Management's communication channels, such as in step 2 or 3 below.

Of course, you can also share those promo codes with your entire contact list in Donor Management as well - but we recommend creating a more specific group, to ensure that the promo code reaches the intended audience more effectively.

Step 2: Share a promo code through an email blast.

You can easily share a promo code through an email blast - simply create an email blast for a specified audience, and be sure to include information on the promo code within the body of that message.

Be sure to include any limitations to the promo code, such as duration or use limits, so that your attendees are encouraged to purchase those discounted tickets before the promotion expired.

Step 3: Share a promo code through text messages.

Similarly, you can also share a promo code through a text message. You'll want to create a text message for specified group, and provide brief but succinct information on how to use that promo code.

Step 4: Share a promo code via "word of mouth."

Last but certainly not least, you can share a promo code via "word of mouth," or through conversations you have directly with individuals.

This option is particularly helpful if the promo code is limited to a very specific audience - like board members and their guests - and keeps the promo code from being shared widely with audiences who shouldn't be using that specific code.
