There may be situations in which an item would need to be manually assigned to a winner; for example, if your organization is hosting an entirely live auction, or if an initial winner ultimately opts to not collect on a winning bid.
Below, we've outlined the steps you can take to manually assign an item to a bidder, so that their bidder record accurately reflects their winnings and you can move forward with collecting payment.
Step 1: Locate the item that you need to assign to a bidder.
To manually add an item to a winner’s biddings, you’ll want to locate the item in your “Items” section on your auction's dashboard, and then click on the name of the item.
Step 2: Click "Add Bid" on the item's "Details" page.
Once you’ve opened the item’s “Details” page, click on the “Add Bid" button towards the top right corner of the “Bids” section.
You will then be prompted to enter the bidder’s name or number and select them from the drop-down options, and then enter the amount of their bid.
Once completed, you can click “Save”, and the item should then reflect the newly-added bid.
