Controlling the Handy 2 remotely

Guide for controlling the Handy remotely, so you can share the experience.

Updated over a week ago

Before you begin, make sure that the Handy that you want control have been connected to the internet.

Method 1: Handy Onboarding App

Once you connect your Handy to the Handy Onboarding App, you should be able to see a button on the top left with three horizontal lines, that opens the main menu of the app where you can find the Option called Control

Once you click there, the controls will appear on screen as the image below. There are 3 main methods of controlling the devices:

HAMP (Handy Alternatiing Motion Protocol)

This is the default usage of the Handy, this is what user have used and know since this feature was originally released.

HRPP (Handy Repeating Pattern Protocol

This new mode is exclusive to Firmware 4, this allows you to use patterns stored in the device itself to create experiences based on actions. You can control Playback speed, Stroke Range and what pattern you want to use.

HVP (Handy Vibration Protocol)

This mode is exclusively for the Oh! It works exactly the same as the handyfeeling web page.

Unfortunately, due to the limitations of the connection, you can't use the Onboarding App for long distance sessions but the app should allow you for more local usage of a remote control.

Method 2: New Handyfeeling

Using the New Handyfeeling webpage, you will be able to use the Remote Control there as well.

Similarly to Handyverse or the legacy Handyfeeling, connect the the device using the button label Connect Device.

Afterwards, click on Remote Control button on the left side menu

The Interface will now allow you to adjust the same settings as before, as well as getting a shareable link that will give the control of your device to another person.
