The Handy 2, just like it's predecessor, can have issues that require some troubleshooting before contacting support. This way you can confirm your device's status and bring further information to support in cases of more severe failures.
Below you will find common issues and some steps to try and get your device back on track.
The Handy 2 makes noise while charging
When you try to charge your Handy 2's battery the charger may be insufficient and not be able to fast charge the device, when this happens the device may emit a noise that is normally not in the range for a person to hear, but due to particularities of each person you can still find yourself hearing it.
This noise is caused by a part that will be replaced in later batches of the Handy 2.
This noise does not represent an issue nor is it dangerous, your Handy 2 should be slow charging and if that is not the case you need to reach out via contact@thehandy.com
Currently there is no work around that does not involve using a proper USB-C Power Delivery with a 65W charger capable of delivering 20V / 3.5A.
You can check if your charger is delivering the amount of power in the Device Info menu, under the battery section.

The Silicone on my Handy 2 is coming off
You can glue the silicone, but we strongly request that you reach out to support via contact@thehandy.com or the chat box in the bottom right on the page. We will provide instructions and specifications for this.
This issue is slated to be fixed in future batches of the Handy 2.
My Handy 2 can't connect via Bluetooth.
Follow these instructions:
If you look closely at the Handy 2 buttons, you should be able to see a indentation at the diagonals between each button.
For this next step, you'd need to use a paperclip (Or similar diameter tool) on the top left indentation.
Push your paperclip through this indentation, this will open a small hole in the silicone but is expected and won't void your warranty. This won't damage the Handy 2's capabilities of passing a IPx5 test as the silicone will close enough so no fluids will get to the PCB.
Once you press this button, the Main Compute Unit will reset and this will clear the cache so you can use the Bluetooth mode.
My Handy 2 is looping
Please use this guide to restart the MCU and see if the device is able to boot again.
Otherwise, please reach out to support via contact@thehandy.com or the chat box in the bottom right on the page.
