How many students are in a typical Ompractice class?

Our classes usually range from about 10 to 30 people.

Class Size: typically, while you can expect 10-30 students in an average class – some of our more popular class times might have more than that, some of our niche or newer classes a little less.

Quality is the goal: Regardless of class size, we make sure that every student receives attention and support. Our teachers are skilled at managing classes of all sizes. In some ways, Zoom classes often make it easier for teachers to give personalized attention and cues. Unlike in a brick-and-mortar studio, our instructors can toggle between a bird's-eye view of the entire class and focus on individual students who need extra support.

Adjusting to our student's needs: with a diverse schedule, we find that students can choose from a range of times that work best for them, and do! We also have students practicing in different time zones, so early or later classes may have smaller crowds.

Flexible class sizes: because we don't have the constraints of a physical studio, if class sizes ever get too large, we can add another class at the same time to ensure everyone gets the attention they need. (You'd generally know in advance, if this was a favorite class of yours!)

Common Concerns:

Do you cap your classes? While we don’t typically cap our classes, we closely monitor class sizes to ensure that each student receives the attention they need. If a class becomes too large, we can add additional sessions to maintain a quality experience for everyone.

Do I have to register for classes in advance? No, you don't need to register for classes in advance. You can join any class that fits your schedule up until the time class starts. (That said, signing up ahead of time can help you plan your week and make sure you don’t miss out on your favorite classes. We always recommend it if it helps you stick with your goals!)

Will I ever be alone in class with a teacher? At this point, it's unlikely that you'll be in a class with just you and the teacher (but not impossible!) if you are nervous about this, just know that it's rare these days! That said if you WANT to have a private 1-1 with a teacher, reach out and we can coordinate that for you (but these aren't included with Ompractice membership.)
