In this article we'll walk through the steps to add rules to your survey to optimize how you are able to gather feedback. By adding paths depending on your customers answers, you can direct them to give further detail or to an exit page easily in the LocalReviews survey builder!

To get started:

1. Log into your OneLocal dashboard here.

2. In the LocalReviews dashboard, select 'Surveys'.

3. Select the survey that you wish to edit

4. In the top right corner of your screen select 'More' and 'Edit'

5. Find the question that you would like to create the logic jump for

In this case I've used a 'yes/no' question. I want my customers to be given the option to leave more detailed feedback in a paragraph answer box.

If they select 'yes' I want to redirect to a paragraph response. If they select 'no' I want them to be redirected to the next question of my survey.

How to add logic:

6. Hover over your question and three options will appear (see above)

7. Select the arrow icon

8. A new edit box will appear so that you can start adding your rules

9. To get started, select 'Add Rule'

10. Once you have finished adding your logic, click 'Confirm' to save your changes.

Adding Rules:

A. 'Conditions'

This allows you to edit the condition you want the rule to be activated on, this will change depending on the type of question that you have selected.

B. 'Value'

In this case the only options are 'yes' or 'no', but this will change depending on the answers that are available from your initial question build.

C. 'Go to'

Determines the survey question your customers will be directed to depending on their answer. Here, you can redirect your customers to an External Page if you've already added this! (Here's more information on External Page Redirects).

D. 'Add Rule'

Allows you to add additional rules or logic jumps to a question.

If you need to delete any rules that you've added or want to remove the logic jumps from a question in future, click the bin icon on the rule you wish to delete.

Previewing your survey

Be sure to preview your survey to make sure your rules have all been applied as you intended.
