Graduation credit requirements typically remain the same from one graduating class to the next, including the subjects and courses students must complete to graduate. To simplify setup, jmc lets you import credit requirements from a previous class to the upcoming one. In just a few clicks, you can update subject and course requirements for the new graduating class using the prior year’s setup as a template—no need to recreate everything by hand.

To get started, go to Grading > Credit Checker > Import Graduation Credit Requirements From a Prior Year in jmc Office.

Step One: Select graduation years from the appropriate drop-down lists to define the source and destination for the credit requirement import.

Helpful Tip: Using the previous year’s setup as a starting point helps streamline updates since course offerings and requirements usually change more over several years than from one year to the next.

Step Two: Click the "Import" button to copy graduation credit requirements from the source year to the destination year.

Step Three: Click the "Print Import Summary" button to print the displayed list of imported courses and credit requirements.

Fun Fact: Need to run the import process again? No worries—jmc lets you run the import multiple times without creating duplicate records.
