With Sequences + SiftLine you can easily create automations and workflows based on what works best for your business and your own marketing strategy.

In this article, you'll learn how to create a sequence so that when a card is moved to the last phase of one SiftLine board, it's automatically copied to the first phase of the next board.

There's two ways to do this, in this example we show how to duplicate or copy the card. You can set up a sequence so it's moved from the previous board completely, however we have found it best to copy the card. This helps when tracking KPI's because you can easily see how many cards or deals have been sent to Acquisitions from Lead Management. Soon you will also be able to see a timeline of these events.

How to Create Tasks

Creating the Sequence

Once you have created the custom status, SiftLine board and task preset, you can start creating the sequence. Click Sequence located on the left sidebar of your account and select Create New Sequence towards the top right of the page.

Trigger

The Trigger is the first step of the sequence. This option is what triggers or starts the automation. For this sequence, the trigger will be SiftLine Card Moved.

Select SiftLine Card Moved for the trigger by dragging and dropping.

Condition

The condition is an additional set of rules that will need to be met in order for the sequence to run and execute the action.

For the condition, drag and drop SiftLine Card Moved and select from board Lead Follow Up (or the name of your lead management board) and from phase Any.

Then select to board Lead Follow Up (or the name of your lead management board) and to phase Send to Acquisitions.

Action

Next, Select Set the following Actions. The action is what will happen once the trigger event and conditions are met. Here we're going to add three actions: Duplicate Card, Assign Property, and Create New Task.
Note: The Actions can be added any order.

Drag and drop Duplicate Card. Then select Lead Follow Up (or the name of your lead management board) as the original board, Acquisitions as the destination board, and Make Offer as the destination phase.

Next, select Add new Action and drag and drop Assign to Property. Then select your acquisitions team member (or yourself if you're responsible for making offers).

Next, Click Add new Action and drag and drop Create Task. Then select Create new task or choose preset(s).

Click Choose Preset and select your task preset for Make offer.
Leave the Assign this task to the property toggled on.

Saving the Sequence

Be sure to name your sequence, once the sequence is named and all options have been added, click Save Sequence.

Testing Sequence

To test, move a card to the Send to Acquisitions phase in your Lead Management board, then go to the Acquisitions board. You should see the same card located under the Make Offer phase of the Acquisitions board now.

Sequence events are listed within the Activity Log in the record and under Recent Activity when opening a SiftLine card.
