Overview
Your practice’s Patient App includes a Refer a friend feature that lets you share a personal referral link. When a friend downloads the app and signs up using your link, they unlock the sign-up or referral reward your practice configured.
This article is for patients using the Patient App. Practice owners configure referral rewards in the Admin Panel.
Before You Start
You must be logged in to your practice’s Patient App.
Your practice must have a Sign-Up Reward or referral reward configured. If no reward is set up, your friend can still sign up but will not unlock a bonus.
The Refer a friend button appears on the bottom of every screen except the Account page.
Why It Matters
Referring friends helps people you trust discover your practice’s app and rewards program. Your friend gets a sign-up bonus, and your practice grows its patient community organically.
How It Works
Your referral link: Tap Refer a friend to generate a shareable link. Send it via text, email, or social media.
Friend sign-up: Your friend signs up using your link, and completes registration.
Reward unlock: Your friend unlocks the sign-up reward configured by your practice.
Referrer reward: After your friend signs up, they must either visit the practice and scan the in-practice check-in QR code OR make a purchase in the app. Then you will receive the Referral Reward which can be either RepeatCash, a complimentary service, or product.
Step-by-Step Instructions
Open your practice’s Patient App and log in.
Tap Refer a friend at the bottom of any screen (not available on the Account page).
Choose how to share your link — text message, email, or copy link.
Send the link to your friend.
Your friend downloads the app, signs up using your link, and completes their profile.
Your friend unlocks the sign-up reward.

Q: My friend signed up but didn’t get a reward. Why?
A: Your practice may not have an active sign-up reward, or your friend may not have completed registration using your referral link.
Q: Can I refer someone who already has an account?
A: Sign-up rewards apply to new patients only. Existing accounts are not eligible.
