Available with ServerLife Premium.
Record your sales for each shift, and ServerLife will automatically calculate your tip percentage using your sales and tips.
Enable sales tracking
Open More → Preferences → What you Track.
Turn on Sales total.
Once enabled, the SALES TOTAL field will appear when you record a shift.
Track your sales
Enter your total sales for the shift in the SALES TOTAL field. ServerLife uses that amount and your recorded tips to calculate tip percentage.
How tip percentage is calculated
Your tip percentage shows how your tip earnings compare with your total sales.
Tip % = (Tips ÷ Sales) × 100
For example, $40 in tips on $200 in sales gives you a tip percentage of 20%.
View your sales and tip percentage
On the Calendar: Display a Tip % field on each day.
Above the Calendar: Add a Tip % summary card for the month you’re viewing.
Below your Shift Summary Card: The Tip Performance card shows how your tips compare with your sales when sales tracking is enabled.
Adjust tip percentage for tip-outs and tip-ins
If you record tip-outs or tip-ins, you can choose metrics that use adjusted tips:
Tip % Total Tips − Tip Out: Uses total tips minus tip-outs.
Tip % Total Tips + Tip In: Uses total tips plus tip-ins.
Tip % Total Tips − Tip Out + Tip In: Uses total tips minus tip-outs plus tip-ins.
Each metric divides the adjusted tip amount by sales and multiplies it by 100.
To choose which metrics appear above your Calendar, open More → Preferences → Calendar Summary → Summary Fields to Display.
