About Booking a Service Event

Service Events are similar to appointments and can be used to keep track of both contact and non-contact time. You can easily book a Service Event from your My Case Load (if you are listed as a Worker on the Service File).

Alternatively, you can also book a Service Event from the Individual’s Service File (depending on your security permissions) using the Book Event function.

The Book Event page has two tabs, Attendees and Event Details. Once you are in the Book Event screen you’ll have the option to view your availability, add additional attendees and customize the event details.

The Schedule

By default the Book Event tool will display your schedule for a set number of days (the default number of days shown is configured by your System Administrator). The vertical black bars on the schedule represent your agency’s open and close times for each day. If you attempt to book an event outside of agency hours you will be asked to confirm that this is the correct time for the appointment.

Blocks of time during which you are already booked are darkened to indicate you are unavailable. If you try to book an event during an unavailable time a scheduling warning will appear.

Event Details Tab

You can modify the options in this section to specify the details for your Service Event including a Start Time, Duration, Repetition, Description, Event Type, Location (including Video Session Link) and Cart Items.

View By section

You can choose how you would like to view the scheduling portion of the Book Event screen by modifying the options in the View By section.

Options include viewing your schedule by a specific date, dates following a specified starting date range, site, or day of the week. You can also adjust how many days you want to see in the schedule below, as well as the range of hours you wish to include.

Attendees Tab

You can modify the list of Attendees for your Service Event on the Attendees tab. Here, you can add other Workers, Resources, Individuals, Collateral Contacts and Community Resources from the Blue Book.
