Booking a Viewing
You can book a viewing from a few different areas within Street including the applicant and property pages, from an existing viewing as well as directly from the main calendar.
Note - We have recently removed the old booking an appointment workflow. All viewings will now be booked using the new workflow outlined in this help article.
It is also possible to book viewings in the past, as long as you have the 'allow bookings in the past' setting enabled in your branch settings.
Booking from an Applicant
To book a viewing from an applicant page, click the 'book viewing' button at the top right where you will be asked to select the property to book the viewing for.
Booking from a Property
To book a viewing from a property page, click the 'create' drop down at the top right and then 'viewing'. where you will be asked to select the property to book the viewing for.
Choosing an applicant for the viewing
After selecting viewing, you will need to select the applicant. If the property is available for sales and lettings you'll need to select whether the viewing is for a sales or lettings applicant.
Now you will be presented with the "Applicant Search" option where you can search by existing applicants (people with lettings/sales applicant cards) or you can create an applicant card for someone who doesn't have one by clicking "Create Applicant".
You will also have the option to create a referral for the applicant from here. For more information, see our Creating a Referral help article.
Booking from an existing viewing
If an applicant has an existing completed viewing, you can book a second viewing using the 'arrange second viewing' option on the viewing page, in the 'viewing details' card on the right hand side.
Selecting the date and time
Once you've selected the applicant/property/arrange second viewing, you'll be taken to the calendar to select the date and time of the viewing.
This calendar works the same as the main branch calendar, with a list of branches and users on the left hand side that can be toggled on/off to view their availability.
The centre of the page displays each user's calendar across a given date and any existing appointments they have booked in, making it simple to see what date/time will work best.
Finally on the right hand side, you can have some useful information to help with booking.
The suggested slots feature can be toggled on to display suggested times to book a viewing based on individual availability, by showing the travel time between an existing appointment and the location of the viewing.
For more information, see our Suggested Slots help article.
Additionally you can see upcoming viewings for that property as well as any viewing guidance you've added via the property page > info > viewing guidance section.
Once you've selected a date + time from the calendar screen, you can always manually edit the specific start and end times of the viewing at the bottom of the page. And if you want to you can click the 'save as provisional viewing' to mark it as provisional. Provisional viewings won't send any notifications to clients and can be used to hold a slot in a diary if needed.
When ready, click 'save viewing' at the bottom right and the viewing will be saved, ready to be confirmed if needed!
Booking from the Calendar page
It is also possible to book directly from the calendar page which has a slightly different workflow. Firstly from the calendar page click the 'create new' button at the top right or simply click on a date/time on the calendar itself.
From here you can select viewing, search for the property and applicant, choosing the viewing agent, date and time as well as add any notes. If you want to create a provisional viewing, you can tick the 'provisional viewing' checkbox at the bottom.
You will also have the option to create a referral for the applicant from here. For more information, see our Creating a Referral help article.
Click create and the viewing will be saved, ready to be confirmed if needed!
