Property Listing Details
As part of the property onboarding process you will need to setup the property listing details before you can send the listing to the vendor for approval and make the listing live.
This article will outline what information can be added in the Property Details section of a property, including the material information fields.
Accessing the Property Details page
To get started, head to the property page and, if it's a sales property then go to the Onboarding tab and in the Property Listing step click 'view'.
Note - You will not see the Onboarding tab if the property is a lettings property.
Alternatively If you are making edits to an existing property, go to the property page and click Edit (top right) > Edit Property.
This will take you to the Property Listing Details page where you can add and edit the key information that will show on the portals, as well as some property specific settings. This can be done at the time of initially onboarding the property for sale/to let but can also be referred back to if you need to make any changes to the property.
This section will include information gathered from your Property Information Questionnaire, if you have this setup as well as the relevant material information about the property.
It's also possible to use Street AI to speed up the process of onboarding the property. For more information, see this help article.
Property Onboarding Sections
On the Property Onboarding page, you will see the sections to complete on the left hand side which you can work through to add the relevant information about the property.
As you progress through each onboarding section, remember to scroll down and click the 'continue' button to save the details, By doing this, it will check off the areas on the left hand side in green.
Photos
The first step of onboarding is to add the property photos and floor plans by uploading the files from your device. For more information on this section, see this help article.
Rooms
The rooms section allows you to add, edit and delete room information, as well as re-arranging the order to show on the portals by dragging and dropping.
Here, you can add details about individual rooms, including photos, a title, type (lounge, bedroom, basement etc), the dimensions (length and width) or toggle that the room doesn't require measurements and finally the room description.
Note - Each room description should have a maximum of 1000 characters otherwise it will fail to publish to the portals.
Key Features
The key features section is where you'll the key features for the property and choose whether to include on the portals and to highlight on viewings.
Note - You should have a maximum of 10 key features with a maximum of 200 characters per feature. The portals will not accept more than 10 key features or key features with more than 200 characters and your property will then fail to publish.
If a property isn't publishing or fails, it's worth checking how many key features you have.
Descriptions
The detailed description should be the indepth description of the property that will show on the property page on the portals.
The short description will default to the beginning of the main description, if left blank - however you can enter your own text for custom short description. This section will show on the search results on the portals.
Street AI can be used in both the detailed and short descriptions to automatically generate content. For more information on Street AI and how it works, see this our Street AI Help Article.
If a property is being marketed for Sale and Let you will see two description areas, allowing you to have different descriptions for each listing.
Location Summary should be used to give a brief breakdown of the property's location and will show on the Street public page.
Note - the location summary will not publish to Rightmove as it only accepts one description field (the detailed description). However it will publish to Zoopla, which accepts multiple descriptions.
External Areas
The external areas section is where you can add details about outside space and parking spaces in the same way room details are added.
Outside Spaces allows you to add photos, the type (garden, balcony, terrace etc), the orientation (South, North, North-East etc), dimensions, total area (sqft) and description.
Parking Spaces allows you to add photos, the type (garage, off road etc), capacity, description and toggle whether to include the parking space details in the portal listings (Material B).
Property
The property section is the largest of the onboarding sections, including details about the number of bedrooms, tenure, utilities, descriptions etc. For more information on this section, see our dedicated Property Details help article.
Viewing Preferences
Here you can set up a bespoke viewing duration (only required if it differs from your branch defaults), toggle if unaccompanied viewings are allowed, set which agents can be assigned to a viewing booked online by a consumer (if left blank, viewings can be assigned to any agent), setup block bookings, setup availability for viewings and finally set if viewings need owner confirmation.
You can find more information in our Viewing Preferences help article.
Online Booking
Here you can choose to disable online viewing bookings for this property, preventing appointments from being booked and rearranged from the consumer platform.
Preview
Once you have completed all of the previous steps, you can preview the details to check everything is correct.
Send
When ready, you can send the listing details to the owner for approval. The owner will receive an email asking them to login to their Street account to review the details which the can do online or via the Street Vendor app.
The vendor will then be able to review the listing and make any requests for changes. For more information on this process, see our vendor listing approval help article.
