Sometimes you need to create a project by hand — maybe for a referral or a special situation. Manual project creation gives you that flexibility when automation doesn't fit.
What You'll Need
Admin access to SubcontractorHub
A web browser (Chrome or Edge recommended)
Step-by-Step Instructions
Step 1
If you need to manually create a project (for customers that did not go through Sales Velocity/Design in SubcontractorHub) you can follow these steps.
Step 2
Step 1:Navigate to “Manage Projects” and select “Projects”Step 2:Click"Add Projects.
Step 3
"Step 3:Fill out the following: basic information, project information, address information, finance data, and custom fields (if required).
Step 4
Note:Users can only select adders and panels for a manual project based on the selected installer.
Step 5
Step 4:Click on the “Save” button to add the project file.
Step 6
The project will default into the first "Stage".
Step 7
You can now go into the project and update any fields necessary, upload attachments, assign tasks, etc.
Step 8
Note:If you have created a custom job type in the database, you can select it from the “Job Type” dropdown.
Step 9
Step 1:Click on the dropdown.

💡 Stay on top of things: Check your project dashboard at the start of each day to see what needs attention.
📋 Document everything: Add notes and photos as you go — future you will thank present you.

Troubleshooting
