School admins can view and filter messages from previous school years to review historical communication across their school. Previous messages are not deleted—they remain available and can be filtered by date whenever you need them.
You can also download messages from a selected date range for your records, including original messages sent in a family's home language.
✏️ TalkingPoints Schools have their school year date filter automatically set to July 1. Learn more about updating your school year filter date here.
How to View Messages from a Previous School Year 💬
Select Messages.
Select All messages.
Choose a school year or date range from the date filter.
To view a specific period, select Custom.
Select your Start and End dates.
Select Apply.
Your message list will update to display conversations from the selected time frame.
Download Messages from a Date Range ⬇️
After filtering your messages, you can download the results for your records.
When downloading messages, you can choose to include:
Translated conversations
Original messages sent in the family's home language
This makes it easy to review or retain historical communication when needed.
