Ask Taplio (formerly Chat Assist)

What Ask Taplio is, how to open it, what you can ask it, and how it replaces Chat Assist.

Ask Taplio is Taplio's AI assistant. It replaces Chat Assist.

Unlike Chat Assist, Ask Taplio doesn't start by writing. It first reads your account: your past posts, your analytics and what's working in your niche right now. Then it tells you what to post, why, and drafts it in your voice.

What happened to Chat Assist?

Chat Assist has been replaced by two things:

  • Ask Taplio for ideas, strategy and new drafts. It's the button at the top of the left menu.

  • AI Edit inside the post composer, for improving a draft you already have.

Nothing else has moved: the composer, calendar, Engagement feeds and Analytics are where they were.

How to open Ask Taplio

  • Click Ask Taplio at the top of the left menu, or

  • Use the Ask Taplio box at the top of your Dashboard.

Ask Taplio is rolling out to existing customers first. If you don't see it yet, request early access at taplio.com/ask-taplio.

How to use it

Type your question in plain language, or start with one of the suggestions below the box. They're built from your own account:

  • What's working in my niche: what's performing in your space right now

  • What worked this month: a short reading of your last 30 days

  • Remix my posts that worked: turn one of your top posts from the last 30–90 days into a new one

Examples of what you can ask:

  • "What should I post this week?"

  • "Draft this week's post."

  • "Why did my post from March do 4x my average?"

  • "Turn my newsletter into five posts."

  • "Give me ten post ideas from my notes: [paste notes]."

  • "Which posts should I comment on today to get more profile views?"

From draft to published post

  1. Ask Taplio writes the draft.

  2. The draft opens in the post composer.

  3. You edit it and schedule or publish it like any other post.

Nothing goes live without you. Ask Taplio doesn't schedule or publish posts for you yet; it stops at the draft.

Improving a draft you already have: AI Edit

To improve a post you've written yourself, open the composer (Write a Post) and use the AI Edit tab:

  • One-click actions: Improve this post, Rewrite the hook, Fix grammar and spelling

  • Or type your own instruction in the box. Type / to see commands, and use Adjust results and History to fine-tune or go back to earlier versions.

AI Edit keeps your own voice. If you're starting from scratch or looking for ideas, use the Ask Taplio link inside AI Edit.

Get better results with My Profile

Ask Taplio and AI Edit use your posts and your My Profile settings (who you are, your audience and topics) to write content that sounds like you. If results feel off, update your My Profile. See How to improve and optimize My Profile.

Plans and credits

AI features are included in the Growth and Pro plans; the Starter plan doesn't include AI. For how AI credits work, see Credits Explained.

Using Taplio from Claude or ChatGPT

You can ask the same questions from your own AI assistant through the Taplio MCP. See Getting started with the Taplio MCP.
