Getting the Best Results from Taplio’s AI
If your AI-generated content isn’t quite hitting the mark, it’s time to fine-tune your data in the My Profile section (click your name in the bottom left corner, then My Profile).
These settings help Taplio’s AI write content that matches your goals, audience and expertise. They are also used for Smart Replies. Fill in each section with precise information that’s closely related to your niche.
Here’s what each section does:
1. About you - Automatically pulled from your LinkedIn account. Feel free to edit the fields to your liking, as these details anchor every idea Taplio generates.
2. Tone of voice - Choose the tone of voice which suits you best and fine-tune your own unique style. This is also where you set your Post language.
3. Content pillars - Describe in short sentences your main pillars and choose your goals on LinkedIn.
4. Audience - List your target audience in short phrases. Keep them specific and industry-related, and make sure to add challenges you want to help them with.
‼️ Pro tip: Avoid mixing broad, unrelated keywords (e.g., “Marketing, AI, Sales, Leadership”). This makes it harder for the AI to produce consistent, high-quality results. Broad topics = bad results.
Controlling Creativity
In Settings → AI settings, scroll to the bottom and use the Conservative ↔ Wild slider to decide how much freedom the AI has to come up with new ideas:
Conservative – Stays closer to your existing style and topics.
Wild – Allows for more experimentation and creativity.
Click Save after adjusting the slider.
Choosing Your AI Model
Right below the slider, you can select between two AI models for Taplio’s AI features (available on the Growth and Pro plans):
Expert Mode – Higher quality output, but slower speed. The Growth plan includes 250 Expert mode credits per month, and the Pro plan includes unlimited Expert mode credits (fair use).
Fast Mode – Lower quality but much faster. Fast Mode is unlimited, and Taplio switches to it automatically once your Expert mode credits for the month are used up.
Switch between these depending on whether speed or depth is more important for your task. Credits renew on the 1st of every month – see Credits Explained for details.
Updating Your Focus
When you want to shift topics, simply update all the fields with a new set of related keywords and descriptions. Keeping them tightly aligned ensures the AI delivers the most relevant and targeted content possible.
Choosing the language the AI writes in
To change the language of AI-generated content, open My Profile, go to the Tone of Voice step and change Post language ("What language do you post in?").
