If you’re an agency or company using Taplio, you can invite clients or team members into your organization. This allows you to manage their LinkedIn account directly, under your subscription and billing.
Before you start: Organizations are available on the Growth and Pro plans. You need an active Growth or Pro subscription before you can invite anyone. Every person in the organization (Owner, Admin, Content Writer or Member/client) uses one seat on your subscription. See Taplio plans and pricing for seat pricing and Understanding Team billing and discounts for team discounts.
Step 1 — Invite the User
Go to Account settings > Team & Permissions (only admins can invite).
Click Invite User.
Enter the user’s email address (the one they’ll use to log into Taplio).
Send the invitation.
👉 The user will appear in your organization dashboard with status Pending.
👉 The invitation automatically adds a subscription seat under your organization’s billing.
Step 2 — User Accepts the Invitation
The invited user receives an email invitation to join your organization.
They click the invite link and sign up (Google login or email) with exactly the invited email address.
They will see a message confirming the organization invite and must click Join organization.
⚠️ Important: The customer must share their LinkedIn account with the organization. This is the only way you can manage their LinkedIn activity.
Seeing “Invitation not found”?
This almost always means the invite link was opened in a browser where someone is already logged into Taplio with another account (often the owner’s own account). The invite is still there and still valid. Taplio checks whether the account you're logged in with has an invite, and it doesn't, so it says not found.
Open the invite link in a new browser profile (Chrome or Edge: profile picture in the top right > Add), not in the one where you're logged into Taplio. An incognito window also works if you only need to accept the invite.
Click Sign Up and create the account with exactly the invited email address.
Click Join Organization.
Please don't revoke and resend the invite: the new link behaves exactly the same, and each change moves a seat on your bill.
Step 3 — Install the Taplio Connect Chrome Extension
After joining, the user is guided through a simplified onboarding (no paywall, no plan selection).
They are prompted to install the Taplio Connect Chrome extension from the Chrome Web Store.
Works on all Chromium browsers: Chrome, Brave, Edge, Opera, Arc, etc.
To manage multiple LinkedIn accounts on one computer, use separate Chrome profiles or tools like Gologin.
Once installed, pin the extension for quick access.
Step 4 — Connect LinkedIn
The user opens LinkedIn in a new tab and logs in.
Return to the Taplio onboarding page.
Confirm the LinkedIn connection (confetti 🎉).
The AI will fetch some profile data to get started. The user can edit this anytime.
Step 5 — Confirmation
On your Organization dashboard, the user’s status changes from Pending to Active.
You can now switch into their profile and perform any allowed actions on their behalf.
Special Case: Agency Sets Up the Client’s Account
In some cases, the agency manages setup directly for a client. Here’s how to handle this scenario safely:
Use a dedicated browser profile for the client (or a multi-user browser like Gologin), named after the client. Keep it for good: it's what keeps the client's LinkedIn connected.
Invite an email address you control into the organization, for example an alias like
name+clientname@agency.com.In that dedicated profile, open the invite link, sign up with the alias and click Join Organization. Then log into the client’s LinkedIn and install the Taplio Connect extension there.
Day to day, work from your usual profile and login, and switch to the client's account with the account switcher in Taplio.
⚠️ Never log into the client’s LinkedIn in your usual browser profile: LinkedIn mixes up the sessions and the connection drops. Always keep each client in a separate browser profile.
✅ That’s it! Your client or team member is now connected under your organization.
