Configuring Registration to Allow Eligibility Requirements
Before you can apply specific eligibility requirements, your registration must be configured correctly within the Setup tab in the Registration Center (Event/League > Registration Center > Registration Setup tab). This section outlines the prerequisite required to enable the eligibility. The necessary configuration will depend on whether your registration includes a payment and if the event is set up for individuals or teams.
For Registrations without Payment:
To Set eligibility requirements, the number of members/guests who can be registered must be set to one of the following:
Individual Events:
The number of members who can be registered must be equal to one (Min and Max set to 1).
Team Events:
The number of members/guests who can be registered must be equal to two or more.
For Registrations with Payment:
To set eligibility requirements, the registration form must be set to one of the following:
Individual Event (Singles):
Member (can register themselves and other Members)
Member(s) and Non-Member(s) (Member can register themselves and other Members or Non-Members)
Member(s) or Non-Member(s) (Either a Member or Non-Member can register independently)
Team Event:
Setting up Player Eligibility Requirements:
On the Registration Setup page, below the member/guest selection, select the "Default Member Eligibility Criteria" tab. (Note: If you allow division selection using eligibility criteria, Click Here for instructions instead.)
Below is a list of the eligibility criteria that can be used. You can use one or more to set the requirements.
Gender: If the event is restricted to men-only or women-only, select whether men or women are eligible.
Golfers must have a GHIN number on file: This option can restrict non-GHIN members. If a player currently does not have a GHIN number in the system (assumed that they are not a GHIN member), they will not be able to register.
Golfer must be a member of selected associations or clubs (Association Customers Only):
This option allows you to extend eligibility beyond your association members to include members of other associations, its clubs, and directly authorized clubs (DAC) or members of specific clubs within other associations.
To extend eligibility, check the box for "Golfer must be a member of selected association or clubs" and choose one of the following options:
All Clubs: To extend eligibility to all members of another association, its clubs, and its DAC, select the association from the list, and select the “All Clubs” option. To extend eligibility to additional associations, click “Add Another Association” and repeat the prior steps.
Member Clubs: To extend eligibility to all members of another association (not including its directly authorized clubs), select the association from the list, and select the “Member Clubs” option.
Selected Clubs: To extend eligibility to members of specific clubs in another association, follow the same steps as above but choose the “Selected Clubs” option. After you select an association, you can select one or more clubs within that association.
Golfers must be a member of selected membership programs: This option allows you to restrict registration to only members part of a specific membership program. Players cannot register if they are not part of the selected membership program.
Handicap Index Range: Select a minimum or maximum Handicap Index range as registration criteria.
If professionals or players without GHIN numbers are registering, you can also waive this criteria for them if necessary.
Remember that a player's Handicap Index will be updated automatically when they log in to register, which will ensure an up-to-date Handicap Index during the registration process.
Age: If the players need to be of a certain age or within a certain age range, you can set the parameters here.
Enter the date on which the age should be calculated, then select the minimum and maximum age. If there is no minimum or maximum age, leave the entry blank.Other Custom Field: You can also set registration criteria by multiple custom fields used in your Master Roster. For instance, you may have a custom field identifying whether or not a player is a pro or amateur and their exemption status.
In the selection above, we only permit players listed as a Pro and Exempt in the master roster to register.
For custom fields, you will also be able to qualify if the field will be included/excluded:Fields of type Country, State, Single/Multiple Line Answer, Multiple Choice, Yes/No:
Equal
Not Equal
Field of type Number, Date:
Equal
Not Equal
Greater / Greater or Equal
Less / Less or Equal
After all the eligibility criteria are selected in the registration form, save the form. Once registration is opened, only players who meet the eligibility criteria will be allowed to register.
Setting up Team Eligibility Requirements:
On the Registration Setup page, below the member/guest selection, select the "Team Eligibility" tab (as shown below).
The following eligibility criteria can be used when setting up team registration:
Handicap Index Range: If your event has specific Handicap Index eligibility criteria, you can establish those in the team eligibility criteria tab. The manager can set to following for Index eligibility:

When using Index eligibility criteria, the Handicap Provider and Handicap Index fields are mandatory during registration. For complete details on Team Handicap Index Eligibility Criteria, Click Here.
Age: If your event has specific age requirements, you can establish those in the team eligibility criteria. Managers can select a specific date to compute the age of players, the size of the team, and specific age intervals for players on the team. You can add multiple team sizes and multiple player age rules to each team size (as shown below).
Registration Process:
