Scorecard Composer

Updated over 2 months ago

This feature is available for the following products:

The Scorecard Composer is used to create and customize printed scorecards. Like our other composers (e.g., Report Composer, Page Composer), this tool allows advanced customization. You can also share and discover your templates with the user community.

For details about printing existing scorecards, Click Here.

In this article, we will discuss how to create, share, and discover scorecards using the scorecard composer. Also, check out our recorded webinar on building scorecards, Click Here.

Creating New Scorecards:

To create a new scorecard, follow these instructions:

  1. Rounds > Print Scorecards > New Scorecard

  2. Name the scorecard. If the name you enter matches any document in the Community Reports, the system will identify reports with matching fields based on name, category, and tags. When a matching document is found, the number of reports and a link to the community reports will be provided for quick access (as shown below).

  3. Select the Report Center folder to place the scorecard (as shown below), and click "Save."

  4. The Scorecard Composer is separated into multiple tabs with various formatting options (as shown below).

    The following tabs are available:

    1. Pairing Groups: In this tab, select the proper tournament to be used to stroke the scorecard. This tab also displays the pairing groups so you can choose which groups to print. For more details on this tab, Click Here.

    2. Format: Before getting into detailed customization, basic formatting settings need to be set in this tab. For more details on this tab, Click Here.

    3. Handicap Stroking: In this tab, there are options regarding the handicap stroking of the scorecard. For more details on this tab, Click Here.

    4. Additional Info & Tees: This tab gets into more customization now that the basic setup is complete. Adding scoring rows and pace of play information are just a few of the many options. It is also important to make sure the correct tees are being printed on the scorecards. For more details on this tab, Click Here.

    5. Fonts & Colors: In this tab, you can format the text (e.g., color, type, size). You can also add background colors to selected cells and rows. For details on this tab, Click Here.

    6. Header & Footer: This tab allows you to add text fields, images/logos, and other objects. You can move and resize these objects anywhere on the canvas. For more details, Click Here.

  5. When designing a scorecard, you can move and resize any objects (e.g., text, logos, shapes, scorecard table) on the canvas. In the example below, the scorecard table is being moved and re-sized.

  6. Below the canvas, you can view a preview of the scorecards. As you make changes, click "Refresh Preview" to see the latest changes as they are made.

  7. To save your work, click "Save."

Sharing Scorecards:

When you finish the scorecard design, you can share it with others in the user community. To do this, follow these instructions:

  1. Click "Share Scorecard."

  2. Select the categories to include in the scorecard template.

  3. Move the "Published" toggle switch to "YES."

  4. Click "Save."

The sequence below shows the process:

The scorecard will then be reviewed to ensure it is suitable for sharing and not duplicating another template. Once approved, it will be available to others.
