What are notifications?
Notifications are messages from Updox that tell you the status of something you did, like sending a fax or saving a contact.
Notifications appear at the top of your Updox Inbox, under the bell icon.
What types of notifications are there?
Type | What it means | Example |
Success | Your action worked. | An item was sent to the EHR, or a contact or patient was saved in the Address Book. |
Error | Something went wrong. Try the action again. | An action couldn't be completed. |
Warning | Your action didn't work the first time, but Updox is trying again. It will end in a success or an error. | A fax line was busy when sending a fax. |
Info | General information about an action. | A sent fax reached a Completed status. |
How do I see my recent notifications?
Click the bell icon at the top of the Inbox.
Click Recent Notifications.
You'll see the notifications from your current Updox session.
How do I turn off notifications?
Click the bell icon, then choose one of these:
Do Not Disturb: Turn off all notifications.
Turn off one type: Use the toggle next to Success, Error, Warning, or Info to turn off just that type.
Tip: Consider keeping Error notifications on, so you know right away if something like a fax or EHR send didn't go through.
