How to Create Tags and Auto-Tag Forms

How to create, edit, and reorder Inbox tags, how to filter your Inbox by tag, and how to add a tag to a form so completed forms are tagged automatically.

What are tags?

Tags are colored labels you add to items in your Inbox. They help you organize items and filter your Inbox so you can find things quickly.

You can create tags that fit your practice's workflow, like Billing, Needs Review, or Rx Refill.

Who can create tags?

Tags are set up in Admin, so you need Admin access.

How do I create a tag?

  1. In the left-hand menu, click Inbox.

  2. Click Admin in the top right, then click Tags.

  3. Click Add Tag.

  4. Enter a name for the tag.

  5. Choose a color.

  6. Click Save.

The new tag shows in the Tags filter at the top of your Inbox.

How do I edit a tag?

Go to Inbox > Admin > Tags, click the tag, make your changes, and click Save.

How do I change the order of my tags?

On the Tags page, drag a tag to where you want it. Tags show in the Inbox Tags filter in this order.

How do I filter my Inbox by tag?

Click Tags at the top of your Inbox and check the tags you want to see.

How do I tag completed forms automatically?

Add a tag to a form, and every completed form is tagged automatically when it comes back to your Inbox.

  1. In the left-hand menu, click Forms, then click Management.

  2. Click the form you want to tag.

  3. Click Edit Form.

  4. In the Auto Tag dropdown, choose the tag.

  5. Click Save.

Now, when a patient submits this form, it arrives in your Inbox already tagged

Tip: You can also send completed forms to a queue with the Submit To setting. For example, send insurance forms to your Billing queue and tag them Needs Review.
