What is Broadcast Used for?
Broadcast allows you to send a message to your patients in bulk.
Broadcast is a great tool and can add a personal touch to your communication with your patients. Wish your patients a happy birthday, advise its flu season or notify them the office is closed because of weather. You have many options!
Why would my message fail or not send?
Broadcast cannot be used for spam messages , marketing promotions or to promote a political platform or agenda.
When sending a broadcast you will receive the below message as a reminder of the above restrictions.
I confirm this message complies with HIPAA and the Federal Communication Commission (FCC) Telephone Consumer Protection Act (TCPA) regulations regarding telemarketing via robocalls and/or text messages.
I understand that I cannot use Updox Broadcast to send targeted marketing or promotional messages. Failure to observe this policy is in violation of my Master Service Agreement and may result in Updox suspending or disabling access to Broadcast.

**Also keep in mind that when sending mass communication by text many carriers have restrictions, rules and trigger words that can get your broadcast blocked. This is not a list that we maintain but you can google this to get a better idea of trigger words that will block your text messages.
