There are a few ways to book in Walkies, depending on the visit. They all start from the same place, Appts > + > Appointment, and differ in what you choose along the way.
Which way should I book it?
One visit: a walk, drop-in or other visit on one day. See How do I book an appointment?
The same visit every week: turn on Repeat and tick the days. See How do I book a repeating appointment?
Several dates or times at once, not weekly: use Add date and Add time on the date screen. Each one becomes its own appointment.
Boarding, an overnight stay, home sitting or daycare: choose that service and set a start and an end. See How do I book a stay?
Pets from more than one client together: choose all their pets on one appointment. See How do I book a group walk?
A client asked for it in the Walkies Journal app: accept their request. See How do I accept or decline a booking request?
Other ways to start a booking
Tap a day in Week or Month view.
Tap an empty time in Day view. This skips the steps and opens the appointment screen at that time.
Open a client, tap ... > Appointments, then +. Their pets are chosen for you.
Use the Walkies widgets on your Home Screen.
Before you book it
On the appointment screen you can:
Choose whether your client is notified, with the button at the top.
Choose how it's invoiced: No invoice, When booked or When started. See Which way of invoicing should I use?
Add travel, a surcharge, a tip, a discount and notes.
Good to know
Overlapping appointments show a warning, but you can still book them.
Your working hours and availability only limit what clients can request, not what you can book. See How do availability, working hours and appointment windows work together?
Busy and Holiday, from the same + menu, block out time instead of booking a client.
