Manage your account details, membership, and receive support

You Account Settings are access by clicking your Profile Picture in the upper right hand corner of the web platform and mobile app. Update account details (include username, email, and password), manage your membership, and delete your account.

• You can access settings with or without an active membership to THE COLLECTIVE by WatersAbove™
• You can only manage your membership from the web platform

✅ Step-by-Step

1️⃣ Update Your Display Name

  1. Open the app (or visit app.watersabove.com)

  2. Click on your Profile Picture in the upper right hand corner

  3. Click 'My Account'

  4. Click on Display Name (and wait for the Pop-Up to appear before typing

  5. Update your Display Name

  6. Click Save

For Display Names, please note the following:

  1. 2-25 character limit

  2. Title Case sensitive (e.g., 'adam smith' becomes 'Adam Smith')

  3. No emoji

  4. No symbols

  5. No non-linguistic characters

  6. No punctuation

  7. No numbers/digits

2️⃣ Update Your User Name

  1. Open the app (or visit app.watersabove.com)

  2. Click on your Profile Picture in the upper right hand corner

  3. Click 'My Account'

  4. Click on User Name (and wait for the Pop-Up to appear before typing

  5. Update your User Name

  6. Click Save

For User Names, please note the following:

  1. 2-25 character limit

  2. First character must be a letter

  3. No more than 5 numbers consecutively

  4. No more than 7 numbers total

  5. No symbols

  6. Numbers and Letters only

  7. No more than 5 identical letters in a row


3️⃣ Update Your Date of Birth

  1. Click on date

  2. Click chevron next to year to quickly sort through years

  3. Click chevron next to month to quickly sort through months

  4. Select Date

🐛 Known BUG
Last updated February 9, 2026

Select one day ahead of your desired date. (e.g., Selecting February 10th, will show up as February 9th)

4️⃣ Update Your Email

  1. Open the app (or visit app.watersabove.com)

  2. Click on your Profile Picture in the upper right hand corner

  3. Click 'My Account'

  4. Click on Email (and wait for the Pop-Up to appear before typing

  5. Enter your new Email Address

  6. Enter the 6-digit code sent to the new email address

  7. Click save


5️⃣ Update Your Password

  1. Open the app (or visit app.watersabove.com)

  2. Click on your Profile Picture in the upper right hand corner

  3. Click 'My Account'

  4. Click on Password (and wait for the Pop-Up to appear before typing

  5. Enter your current Password

  6. Enter your new password then confirm your new password

  7. Click save

6️⃣ Manage Your Membership

⚠️ This can only be done from the web platform.

7️⃣ Support

Our support modal is accessible via Settings.

  1. Open the app (or visit app.watersabove.com)

  2. Click on your Profile Picture in the upper right hand corner

  3. Click 'Support'

  4. This opens our Support modal

From our support modal you can access Help Articles ('Help' tab), receive help from our AI chat, or message our human support team ('Messages' tab). Message history will be available there at any time. All support correspondence will be sent to your email as well.

8️⃣ Delete your Account

For all the up-to-date steps and disclaimers about deleting your account, please read Deleting your Account.

9️⃣ App Version

If you are experience bugs in your account, support may ask for you to find which "App Version" you are on. To find this:

  1. Open the app (or visit app.watersabove.com)

  2. Click on your Profile Picture in the upper right hand corner

  3. Click 'My Account'

  4. Note the 'App Version' provided at the bottom of the page.

For troubleshooting, we will require that you are on the latest App Version. If you are experiencing issues of any kind, we recommend refreshing your browser -or- updating your mobile app directly from the Apple App Store or Google Playstore before continuing.

🔟 Update Profile Picture

There are two ways to update your profile picture. You can read about how to update it while Editing MY-PORTAL or below via Settings:

  1. Open the app (or visit app.watersabove.com)

  2. Click on your Profile Picture in the upper right hand corner

  3. Click 'My Account'

  4. Click on the 'Edit' icon over your Profile Picture

  5. Complete the Prompt to upload your desired image

📖 Glossary
THE COLLECTIVE by WatersAbove— The name of the membership-only Community hosted on the WatersAbove™ Platform and Mobile App.

Display Name—This is the name that will appear on your profile (i.e., MY-PORTAL) and whenever you post in PORTAL.

User Name—This is the name that will appear next to your message in OASIS and what people will use to tag you.

App Version—This displays the current version of the platform and application your are running. Periodically we will release a new version that includes updates, new features, bug fixes, etc. To ensure you are getting the best experience it is recommended to update to the latest version (found in the footer of our Help Center).
