Why did export or publishing fail

Fix failed exports, downloads, social publishing, and schedules.

👀 Availability

Export quality, bulk export, publishing, scheduling, connected accounts, and platform fields can depend on your plan and each platform's permissions.

Export and publishing issues usually come from resolution limits, source video quality, unfinished edits, browser download behavior, social account permissions, or platform requirements.

If export fails

Check:

What to check

Why it matters

Export format

WayinVideo exports videos as MP4

Resolution

Higher resolutions can depend on your plan

Source video resolution

You cannot export a true higher-resolution video than the source

Project state

Make sure the clip is ready and all edits have loaded

Browser download location

The MP4 is saved by your browser, often in Downloads

Original content rights

Confirm you have the right to export and use the source content

If you export successfully but cannot find the file, open Library and check the Exported tab. Also check your local Downloads folder or the folder selected by your browser.

If publishing fails

Publishing can fail when the destination account, platform settings, or post content needs attention.

Check:

What to check

What to do

Connected account

Reconnect the account if authorization expired

Platform permissions

Make sure the platform allowed publishing permissions

Account selection

Confirm you selected the right channel, page, or profile

Post content

Review title, description, tags, visibility, category, and thumbnail

Thumbnail rules

Some platforms have their own thumbnail requirements

Schedule settings

Check date, time, posting frequency, resolution, and time zone

Plan limits

Confirm your plan supports the number of accounts, posts, and scheduled items

If you are using Bulk Publish, remember that each clip-account combination creates a separate post. For example, 2 clips across 3 accounts creates 6 posts.

If a social account is missing

If an account does not appear in the publish window:

  1. Open Scheduler.

  2. Open All Accounts.

  3. Click Manage.

  4. Check whether the account is connected.

  5. Reconnect the account if needed.

  6. Return to the publish window and select the account again.

If you reached your plan's connected-account limit, remove an account you no longer use or upgrade your plan.
