Primary Role: ANVL Business Admin (BA)
Learning Focus: Learn

Why It Matters

  • Roles control which ANVL products a user can access

  • Special Rights control what actions a user can take

  • Incorrect setup can block access or over-grant Admin authority

When to Do This

  • Reviewing access models

  • Assigning or auditing user permissions

  • Investigating access or visibility issues

Roles Overview

ANVL has two system Roles: TECH for mobile workflow execution, and ADMIN for access to ANVL Manager and site-level management actions.

Note: Users must have one Role assigned in ANVL and can have both Roles if needed.

TECH

  • ANVL Workflows access (Mobile app or Web-based)

  • Used for workflow execution

ANVL Workflows ('TECH' Role): for all employees that need to complete workflows in ANVL.

ADMIN

  • ANVL Web (Manager) access

  • ANVL Admin Panel access

Role Visibility in User Profiles (User's Tab / Preferences)

  • ANVL Mobile = TECH

  • ANVL Web = ADMIN

Permissions vs. Special Rights

  • Roles determine which products a user can access

  • Special Rights determine what actions a user can perform

Special Rights Overview

Admin Panel

  • Grants access to the ANVL Admin Panel

  • Highest level of administrative access

  • Edit – Edit existing workflows

  • View – View existing workflows

  • DeleteDraft – Delete unpublished workflows

  • Publish-UAT – Publish workflows to Testing (UAT) Groups

  • Publish-ALL – Publish workflows to Testing and Production Groups

Publishing rights should be granted cautiously.

Risk Insights Access

Feature Access: ANVL Insights (riskInsights)

  • Grants access to ANVL Insights

  • Enables viewing site-level risk insights across:

    • Monthly trends

Watch Out For…

  • Roles ≠ permissions or Special Rights

  • TECH users should not be granted Admin or workflow publishing rights

  • Publishing to PROD has immediate operational impact
