Arux Events in Bound

Learn how to find Arux reservations in Bound, review facility conflicts, and delete external events.

The Arux integration lets your activities department and your district's community education department share one schedule for the facilities you both use. Events booked in Arux at your facilities, such as community education classes and outside rentals, come into Bound as non-competition events. You see them next to your athletics and activities events and can spot double-bookings in your gyms, fields, and other shared spaces.

Note: Events from Arux go straight onto your calendar. They aren't facility requests, so you don't approve or deny them in Facility Manager.

This article is for athletic and/or community education directors and other admins at schools that use Arux, and for the Bound team members who support them.

Connect Your School to Arux

The Arux integration isn't self-serve. To get started, contact sales@gobound.com.

Setup includes matching your facilities in Arux to your facilities in Bound. You also let Bound know how you want the sync to work, including whether events from Arux come in visible to the public or visible to staff only.

Find Arux Events in Bound

Arux events appear on your Events page alongside your other events. Each one shows the event's name, time, and facility, plus these labels:

  • External: Arux: Shows next to the name of every event from Arux.

  • Visible by: Staff: Only staff can see the event in Bound.

  • Visible by: Public: The event is on your public calendar.

See All Arux Events in One List

  1. Go to Events -> Edit External Events.

  2. Scroll the list to see every event Arux has sent to Bound for the school year. The total appears at the top of the page.

    • When: The event's date and time.

    • Location: The event's facility in Bound.

    • Source: Shows Arux. A Ref number under it is Arux's own ID for the event.

    • A Public label under an event's name means the event is on your public calendar.

Who Can See Events from Arux

The visibility you chose at setup applies to all events from Arux. Staff only keeps events such as outside rentals off your public calendar, while your staff still see them on the Events page.

To make one of these events public:

  1. On the event, click the Public Visibility button (globe icon).

  2. Turn on Public Visibility.

  3. Click Save.

Review Facility Conflicts

When you create an event in Bound at a facility that's already booked in Arux, Bound flags the conflict, but you can still save the event. Arux checks for conflicts too, and it doesn't block them either.

Facility conflicts in Bound, including conflicts with Arux events, are listed on the Data Issues page.

  1. Go to Events and click Data Issues.

  2. Click Facility Conflict.

Delete Events from Arux in Bound

Use Edit External Events to clear out events you don't want in Bound, such as events that came in with bad data or events that won't happen.

NOTE: Deleting removes the event and all of its sessions from Bound, and it can't be undone. If the event is public, deleting it also removes it from your public calendar. Deleting doesn't cancel the event in Arux, so if it's still active there, it can come back to Bound on the next sync. To keep it from coming back, it may need to be deleted in the Arux platform.

  1. Go to Events -> Edit External Events.

  2. Select the checkbox next to each event you want to delete.

    • To select every event on the current page, select the checkbox in the table header.

    • To select every event at once, click Select all. The button shows your total number of events, such as Select all 42.

  3. Click Delete Selected.

  4. In the Confirm Delete window, review the events to delete, then click Confirm & Delete.
