Reserved seating assigns fans to specific seats instead of selling general admission. You map ticket options to sections of a seating chart, and fans who buy an option are assigned seats within the section it is mapped to. You can also sell a section as general admission, so fans in that section sit first come, first served.
A reserved seating pass lets a fan hold the same seats for a whole season instead of buying game by game. You can reserve seats for fans ahead of time and collect payment later.
Note: A seating chart for the venue must exist before you can turn on reserved seating. Seating charts are listed under Ticketing -> Seating Charts.
Set Up Reserved Seating on an Event
On the Events page, find the event and click its ticket button.
Click Setup. If the event already has a ticket setup, the menu shows the setup's name instead; click that.
If no setup is selected, choose one from the Ticket Setup dropdown.
Under Advanced Event Settings, click Reserved Seating.
Select the venue's chart from the Seating Chart dropdown. Reserved seating turns on and the Section-Option Mapping list appears.
For each section, under Available Options, check the ticket options fans can buy in that section.
Set a Section Limit for any section you want to cap. Leave it at 0 for unlimited.
Click Save Settings.
Sell a Section as General Admission
Use this when part of the venue is first come, first served and the rest is assigned seating.
In Section-Option Mapping, find the section you want to sell as general admission.
Check General Admission for that section.
Under Available Options, check the ticket option to sell in that section.
Click Save Settings.
Create a Reserved Seating Pass
A reserved seating pass is a pass setup with its own box office. The box office holds the seating chart, and it is where you reserve seats for the pass.
Go to Ticketing -> Passes, click Manage Passes, and select Add Pass Setup. Set up the pass the same way you would any other pass (see Create pass setups).
In the Configure step, under Activity Pass Settings, turn on Set Accepted Passes Manually. This lets you choose which events accept the pass instead of it being accepted at all events.
Finish the setup and click Create Setup.
On the Passes list, click Create Box Office in the pass's row.
Enter a Title and dates for the box office, then click Save. If Event Issues Found appears, review it and click Create Event.
The box office's ticket settings open. Under Advanced Event Settings, click Reserved Seating and select the venue's chart from the Seating Chart dropdown.
For each section, under Available Options, check the pass option.
Click Save Settings.
Back on the Passes list, the button in the pass's row now reads View [box office title] Box Office. This is where you reserve seats for the pass.
Apply a Reserved Seating Pass to an Event
Attach the pass to each event it covers. Seats sold through the pass are then blocked from being sold again at that event.
On the Events page, click the event's ticket button, then click its ticket setup.
Click Manually Assigned Passes Accepted at This Event to expand it.
Check the pass. Reserved seating passes are marked Reserved Seating.
Confirm when prompted.
NOTE: This cannot be undone. Once a reserved seating pass is attached, it is locked to the event and any seats sold through the pass can't be resold for that event.
Reserve Seats for One Fan
A reserved cart holds seats for a fan until they pay. You can reserve seats for a fan from the pass's box office.
Go to Ticketing -> Passes and click View [box office title] Box Office in the pass's row.
Click Launch Checkout.
Select the fan's seats on the chart, then click Proceed To Checkout.
Under Contact, select Email and enter the fan's email, first name, and last name.
Clear Check the Ticket, since reserved tickets can't be checked before they are paid.
Click Reserve (Receive Payment Later).
Note: To import reserved carts for many fans at once, send payment link emails to fans with unpaid carts, or delete unpaid reserved carts, contact Bound.
