Before you start, make sure your computer or tablet and the card reader are on the same Wi-Fi network. After setup, your gate devices and card readers must stay on the same Wi-Fi network, or they will not work.
Connect a Credit Card Reader
Note: Have your WiFi details ready to update and use the card reader in the following steps.
From your school, click Business in the left menu.
Click Stripe, then click the yellow lightning bolt button next to the Stripe account you want to connect the reader to.
Note: If you don't see a Stripe account listed, reach out to Bound using the green chat bubble in the bottom right corner of the page.
On the Readers tab, click Add Reader. A page opens with Name, Location, and Registration Code fields.
On your card reader, swipe from the left edge of the screen toward the middle to open a menu, then tap Settings.
Enter the admin PIN 0-7-1-3-9.
Tap Generate pairing code. The reader shows a registration code.
Back on the Add Reader page in Bound, enter a Name, select your school's legacy location in Location, enter the code from the reader in Registration Code, and click Save. The legacy location is usually just your school name, without S700, Cellular, or WiFi in it.
Tip: Use a name that helps you tell your readers apart, such as your school name and a number (for example, Bound High 1).
The card reader appears under its location on the Readers tab. The card reader also shows a Bound-branded screen (this applies only to schools using Bound's Stripe account to process transactions).
