Series is where you create and manage groups of classes sold together as a single product — previously called "Grouped sessions". This feature is for studios that want to offer multi-class programmes spanning several weeks, several months, or a year.

If you used Grouped sessions before

Series is the new name for what used to be called Grouped sessions, and some things now work differently:

New location. Series now has its own tab in the Calendar (Calendar > Series), rather than sitting under Workshops.
No more recurrence at series level. The old process let you set up a recurring series made up of recurring classes. This is no longer possible: each setup creates a single series at a time. Use Duplicate if you want to recreate a similar series.
No more preview and confirmation step. Classes are created as soon as you finish step 3 of the setup: there's no separate review step before they're saved.
You can't add or remove classes after creation. Once a series is created, you can edit an individual class, but you can't add a new one or remove one.

The Series tab

Series now has its own tab in the Calendar, next to Classes. Each row represents a series: a group of classes sold and booked together as a single product.

Filter, search, and open a series the same way you would on the Classes tab. Select a row to open the quick panel, or open the series to access its full detail page.

Creating a series

Select Add a series to start the 3-step setup:

Choose a service — select the class template the series is based on.
Configure the series — name it, and set the booking rule, visibility, and level. Tags are found under Advanced.
Add classes — add each class, one-off or recurring. A live count ("N classes will be added") and an editable list show exactly what you're creating before you save.

Sensible defaults are already filled in (All levels, Published, 1 credit, 1 hour, 10 spots), so most fields don't need any changes.

💡 If the date of a recurring class doesn't fall on any of the selected weekdays, the setup shows you the actual first class date instead of silently shifting it.

Booking rules

Each series uses one of three booking rules, chosen in step 2. This also determines the series' Type, shown in the Series list:

Full series — all classes are booked at once. No one can join the series once it has started.
Open series — clients can join the series after it starts; the booking covers all remaining classes.
Single class — each class is booked independently.

The series detail page and quick panel

Open a series to access its full detail page, or use the quick panel for a fast overview without leaving the list. Both show previous/next navigation and let you duplicate or cancel the series from anywhere.

Managing the classes in a series

Open a class from the Classes tab to manage its participants, waitlist, and attendance, just like any other class.

⚠️ You can't add or remove classes from a series after it's been created.

Duplicating a series

Duplicate recalls the recurrence rule and always shows the series' level, so you can check it before confirming.

Cancelling a series

Cancel opens a single-step window showing the number of classes and enrolled clients, an irreversibility warning, a refund alert, and a button to notify all affected clients.

⚠️ There's no longer a bulk or linked cancellation: each series is cancelled independently.

What hasn't changed yet

You can edit or delete classes one by one: there's no bulk edit for a series yet.
The service a series is based on can't be changed after it's created.
Series still rely solely on workshop-type services.
The repeat pattern shown for a series is inferred from the classes you added, rather than saved as a standalone rule. For regular weekly rhythms this stays reliable, but for monthly, yearly, or irregular patterns, it's worth checking the generated class dates before saving to make sure they match what you intended.

Frequently asked questions

Why doesn't my first class match the date I chose?
For a weekly series, the start is shifted to the first selected weekday. The "classes will be added" message shows the actual first class date: adjust the date or the selected days if you want it to be earlier.

Can I create a recurring series like before?
No: each setup creates a single series at a time. Duplicate the series if you want to repeat it.

Can I change the teacher or venue for a class in the series?
Yes. Open the series, go to the Classes tab, and edit that class. Editing several classes at once isn't available yet.

Can I change the service after creating the series?
No: the service is locked in as soon as the series exists. Create a new series if you need a different one.
