How does it work?
Normally, Chexy charges your credit card 3 business days before your payment's due date. This means we need at least 3 business days' notice to process and send a payment on time.
With Rush Payments, if you're trying to make a one-time payment as quickly as possible, you can shorten that window to instant, 1, or 2 business days, depending on what's available at the time. You'll be offered these options based on timing and other factors when you set up your payment.
Instant: Your payment is sent the same day, as soon as it's processed
1 business day: Your payment is sent the next business day
2 business days: Your payment is sent the business day after that
How do I access it?
When you're configuring your payment details, you'll see the rush option if it's available to you. There's nothing extra to enable, just look for it during the payment setup flow.
If you don't see the option, it may not be available for your account or payment type at this time.
What does it cost?
A rush fee applies to any payment sent using this feature. The fee depends on the speed you choose and the size of your payment. This fee is in addition to Chexy's standard processing fee, and does not replace it.
Speed | Base rate | Above $10k | Minimum fee |
Instant | 1.50% | 1.50% | $9.99 |
Next business day | 0.50% | 0.30% | $4.99 |
2 business days | 0.25% | 0.15% | $2.99 |
The instant fee is charged as the greater of the flat minimum or the percentage rate. For example, a $2,000 instant payment would have a rush fee of $30.00 (1.5%), while a $500 instant payment would have a rush fee of $9.99 (the minimum applies).
For example, if you're sending a $5,000 payment with next-business-day rush, the rush fee would be $25.00 (0.50%), on top of your regular processing fee.
