Casuals with incomplete profiles can impact your ability to make confident booking decisions. On ClassCover, casuals manage their own profiles, and while many keep their information up to date, you may occasionally come across profiles with missing details.
Here’s what that means for your school – and what you can do about it.
What Counts as an Incomplete Profile?
An incomplete profile may be missing:
Teaching qualifications or subjects taught
Availability not up-to-date
Location details
Work history or documentation
Profile photo or bio
These missing details can make it harder to decide if a casual is the right fit for a booking.
Can Incomplete Profiles Still Receive Bookings?
Yes. If a casual is on your list – even with an incomplete profile – they can still receive booking requests from your school. Their profile status doesn't prevent them from being contacted.
However, sending bookings to casuals with incomplete or outdated details may result in:
Delays in confirmation
Booking the wrong fit for the role
Low response rates
How to Manage Incomplete Casuals on Your List
Nudge Them to Update Their Profile
Use the Nudge feature to prompt casuals to complete or update their profile. Nudges are sent via email and push notification, encouraging the casual to log in and fill in any missing info on their profile.
📱 You can send nudges on both desktop and mobile – just tap on a casual’s profile in the My List page and "Nudge" them.
Message Them Directly
Want a more personal follow-up? You can send a direct message through ClassCover to ask if they’re still available or to remind them to update their profile details. This is a helpful way to re-engage casuals before deciding to remove or replace them.
Use Star Ratings
Star ratings are a great way to internally organise and manage your list of casuals. Apply internal star ratings to flag incomplete profiles on your end – so you know to avoid or follow up with those casuals later.
❌ Remove or Replace
If a casual has been unresponsive and their profile remains incomplete over time, consider removing them and replacing them with more active candidates.
Use Find New, Requests, or ClassCover Jobs to add fresh, qualified casuals to your list.
What About My School's List Health?
Casuals with incomplete profiles may also appear as inactive in your List Health Checker if they haven’t logged in or responded to bookings recently. Nudging is the best way to re-engage them before considering removal.
💡 Tip: Set a reminder once per term to review and clean up incomplete or inactive profiles in your list.
