Project Overview Page

Once your account has been activated, you will have access to a Cuez Project in your Organization.

On that Overview page, you will find the following Information:

  • Your role within the Project (2): You can be either Admin or Contributor.

    • Admin: Can create & manage Templates, configure Blocks & Columns and invite users to a Project.

    • Contributor: Can use Templates to create a new Episode, Edit/Create content by using the existing Blocks & Columns of the Project.

  • Active Episodes (3): the Active Episodes are all the Episodes created in that Project, that are actively being worked on.

  • Archive & Deleted folders (4): these folders contain Episodes that have been archived or Deleted.

    • The Archived Episodes can be accessed at any time on read-only mode and you can copy/paste content from an Archived Episode to an Active one.

    • The Deleted Episodes are also in read-only but will be permanently deleted after 30 days.

Episode

When you open or create a new Episode (from a Template or Blank), you will see the following information:

  • Layout (1): You can choose to see your Episode in Script View, Rundown View or both Rundown & Script side by side.
This view is personal to your login and won't affect the view of your colleagues. This view is also saved, meaning that if you close the Episode and open another one in that same Project, it will open with that same view.

  • Filter (2): Using the eye-icon in the Rundown and Script, you can filter out the Blocks (content) that you don't need to see.

  • Part/Item/Block (3): An Episode in Cuez is build with Parts/Items/Blocks. These are the 3 level that we have to structure your content.

    • Part: it is the highest level and is not customisable.

    • Item: an Item is always within a Part and you can choose to give a color to your Item by clicking on the 6 dots menu next to 'Item'.

    • Blocks: the Blocks are used to enter all the information in your Rundown and Script.

      • Text Blocks: Text Blocks are only visible in the Script and is only Text (for prompter, presenter, tablet etc).

      • Cue Blocks: Cue Blocks are visible in the Script & Rundown and will contain more technical information such as Graphic, Video, Audio etc.

Note: Only Admin users can configure these Blocks, if you'd like to have any changes applied to a Block in the Project, please reach out to an Admin.

  • Columns & Timings (4): You can enable Timings & Columns in your Script/Rundown via the '+'. Same as the layout, enabling columns won't affect the view of others and will be a saved view for you.
Note : Only Admin Users can configure columns, if you want a new column or change an existing one, please reach out to an Admin of the Project.

  • Share your Episode (5):

    • Copy Link: this will copy the link of the Episode and can only be opened by users who have access to the Project.

    • Shared Public Link: this link can be access to anyone without a Cuez account. The person who receives the link will have a read-only access to the Episode.
Note: you need to enable 'Public Access' of the Link for the Episode to be viewed by external people.

  • Search Function (6): Every Episode has a search function that allows you to look for specific content in an Episode. This function also comes with a 'Find & Replace' feature.

Episode Menu

On the top left, next to the Episode title, you have a 3 dots menu of the Episode, where you can find the following information:

  • Print (1): You can print or save your Episode as PDF. The principle in Cuez is 'What you see if what you get', meaning that what you enable as a view in your Episode is what you will print.

  • Duplicate Episode (2): You can easily create a copy of an Active Episode using the 'Duplicate' function.

  • Trash (3): If you delete a Part, Item or Block, that content will always end up in the Trash of the Episode. If you need to retrieve your content, open the Trash and Drag & Drop it back into the Episode using the 6 dots.

  • Freeze item and block number (4): Items & Blocks are numbered in the Episode. If you want to keep that numbering in place, you can freeze it. This means that if you change the order of your Items or Blocks or add new content, the numbering will stay the same.
